Club Spring Mountain now accepting limited memberships

(Pahrump, Nev.) June 2006 — The only private motorsports country club in the southwest United States is now open, just 45 minutes west of the glittering lights of the famous Las Vegas Strip.

The new Club Spring Mountain was created to give car enthusiasts the opportunity to enjoy an exclusive, private track experience and to drive at their own pace and on their own schedule, without traffic or fear of a speeding ticket. The 193-acre, private motorsports club is located on Highway 160 in the desert near Pahrump, Nev., at the acclaimed Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, which is also home of the U.S. Radical Racing Team and Corvette Driving School.

“Life is all about the experience, and Club Spring Mountain members will experience driving on an exhilarating track as a member of their own private club with their contemporaries who are also passionate about their cars,” according to co-owners John Morris and Brad Rambo, motorsports enthusiasts and entrepreneurs. “Our challenging private road course is pure adrenaline with spine-tingling turns for drivers. All types of drivers and their vehicles are welcome, including owners of high performance, exotic, luxury and sports cars, as well as collectors, weekend road warriors, motorsports fans and professional racers.”

Club Spring Mountain is now offering limited memberships, including classic, charter and corporate, starting at $4,500. Club Members pay a one-time initiation fee, monthly dues and a day use fee to be able to bring a minimum of five guests per month, receive guaranteed exclusive track time for at least 15 days per month, along with garage rental opportunities at the Club, other special benefits and invitations to member events.

“We’re selling memberships like a golf country club,” added Morris. “Instead of golf, our members play with their own cars — Corvettes, Mercedes, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, BMW, Porsches, Mustangs, vintage cars or even Mini-Coopers. Drivers of all skill levels can go at their own pace and experience the fun and excitement of motorsports with the added convenience and exclusivity of a private club.” On almost any day, members may practice their driving skills, share the experience with their friends, or entertain family, friends or business associates.

The 3.5 mile purpose-built road course has 20 turns and consists of three configurations, including a 2.2-mile track with 10 turns, 1.5-mile track with 10 turns, and 3.1-mile track with 17 turns. Each configuration has a unique personality. For example, the 2.2-mile course has elevation changes totaling approximately 50 feet, and one of its corners is an exact duplicate of the hairpin (corners 5A and 5B) known as Moss corner at the Mosport International Raceway in Ontario, Canada. Another corner of the track resembles the configuration at the Long Beach Grand Prix Street Circuit. The 1.5 mile-course includes two banked corners, one dramatic blind drop and one technical off-camber corner in addition to its straightaway.

Private instruction with professional drivers is also available at Club Spring Mountain, along with special discounts for high-performance exotic car rentals, which include Corvette Z06s, Ferrari Challenge cars, Radical Race cars and the hot new Aerial Atom.

Expansion to the entire Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch complex is being planned. Development plans include a luxurious clubhouse with lounge and viewing stations for invited guests, closed circuit track-to-driver communications center, a 45-foot-high wilderness tower, rentable garages for members to store their cars, private locker rooms, conference and meeting rooms, swimming pool, racquetball court, condominiums, industrial park and other improvements. Club members will receive priority on reserving any of the new facilities. Construction is expected to begin on the first phase in 2007.
