More Excitement at Club Spring Mountain!
We hope your year is off to a GREAT start. If you haven’t been to Club Spring Mountain  lately, you may not even recognize us next time you visit! The Clubhouse construction is in full swing with drywall going up and the pool/jacuzzi currently being dug. Furniture and fixtures have been ordered, along with upscale interior decor, and plans are being made for a fun-filled Grand Opening celebration in April. Our ongoing commitment is to provide you with a comfortable and fun place for auto aficionados to rev up your motors and test your limits on the track. In addition, we want the the rest of the family to feel comfortable and entertained at the Club, with amenities including a pool, jacuzzi, massage facilities, plasma TV’s, viewing tower and more.  Our new advertising slogan is entitled More Heartbeats Per Minute for a reason! This season we have many exciting announcements about our facilities and we wanted you - our valued Club members - to hear about them before the news is released to the general public, as they have been designed for your enjoyment. Please bear with us as we are still finalizing policies, procedures, and the information that appears on the website, but we wanted to let you know as soon as the information was available.
Spring Mountain KartingOur meetings with members at the end of 2007 revealed a strong desire for a dedicated Kart track at Spring Mountain. In response to your request we have just  completed the modifications of the 1.5-mile road course to accommodate a world class Kart track. Effective this month we will be offering a 1.2-mile (using the 1.5-mile course reduced to a 1.2-mile) Kart course for members while still running the 2.2-mile track for your cars. Our plan is that one weekend per month the 1.5-mile course will have , allowing both karts and cars on the 1.5-mile track in different sessions. The 1.5-mile course has several new corners added with additional paving allowing for more corners and slowing the track for Karts. Spring Mountain plans to open a Kart shop with rental Karts in the garage buildings across from the Clubhouse. We’ll also sponsor a large public Karting event on a monthly basis, while still keeping the 2.2-mile course running with a Car event.
 The new 1.2-mile mile Kart track features 14 corners with exhilarating elevation changes, and the longest straight measuring a screaming 890 feet. The average width of the track is a generous 36′ with an ultra-smooth surface - perfect for high-performance kart competition. Karting is a great activity for the entire family, and your guests will certainly enjoy this new attraction at the club.
Members of Club Spring Mountain can experience the Kart track as part of your membership as existing Club members enjoy full karting privileges. Run sessions for Kart Club members are available between sessions on certain days, and an average of eight (8) days per month will be dedicated exclusively to Karting on the 1.2-mile track. Two (2) weekends per month will be designated Kart weekends at Spring Mountain - one weekend dedicated exclusively to Karts on the 1.2-mile track, and the other will alternate between Karts and Cars with Club Members. The Fleet
 We have purchased ten (10) karts for our original fleet from Acceleration Karting of Las Vegas, our valued Partner, featuring two ROTAX Dark Rider DD2 Karts and eight (8) ROTAX SR 125 Kali CRG Karts with front and rear brakes. The Karts will be available for rent with a Kart Shop on the Upper Paddock area. Flight Lessons for Club Members
Spring Mountain Flying Club will be offering flight lessons for students who wish to obtain their Light Sport Aircraft License. A Light Sport Aircraft license can require as little as 20 hours of flight time! Our fleet of planes will also be available to club members to rent at a special member price of $70 per hour.
For aspiring pilots under 18: Children can fly before their 16th birthday but have to be 16 prior to obtaining their license.
