It’s never been a more exciting time to visit Spring Mountain! The scenery is changing on a daily basis here,  with lush landscaping planted throughout the facility, the NEW resort-style Club Spring Mountain Member Center completed and officially open for business, plans being made for future development, and new driving school courses on the horizon. It’s definitely worth your while to check it out! NEW! SCCA Licensing Course Gentlemen, start your engines! Do you have what it takes  to compete in racing? We are excited to announce that Spring Mountain now offers SCCA Accredited Licensing Courses. Spring Mountain Advanced Driving School provides the tools you need to become a licensed road racer through the Sports Car Club of America. As an Accredited SCCA License Recommendation School, our talented team of instructors can provide you with the basic skills and techniques you need to realize your dream of racing starts, checkered flags and roaring engines.A student is required to have graduated from one of Spring Mountain’s basic driving schools before attending our 2-day intense SCCA License Recommendation School: our 3-Day Level One Corvette Advanced Driving School, our 2-Day Radical Racing School, or our 2-Day Lotus Performance Driving School. Our SCCA Licensing School will be given in a Corvette, a Radical SR3, or a Lotus Elise.The SCCA License course curriculum includes SCCA Flags, Lead/Follow Sessions, Braking and Shifting Exercises, and Sprint Races! At the end of the course you will be taking a test and Spring Mountain Instructors can recommend you for an SCCA License.Our first official SCCA Licensing Course is June 5-6, 2007. Friday evening April 4th, the one-of-a-kind Spring Mountain C6RS built by Pratt and Miller was unveiled at the Silverton Hotel and Casino at a lively cocktail party for Corvette enthusiasts. Pratt and Miller Build Manager Dave Albright was in attendance answering questions about the fabulous race inspired 600 horsepower Corvette.Over 100 drivers registered for Corvette Track Days April 5- 6, 2008. It was a weekend of perfect weather for the track - not too cool, not too warm and lots of beautiful sunshine.Corvette Track Days participants traveled from all across the country including states as far away as Pennsylvania, Illinois, Missouri, Texas, Washington State, Oregon and Colorado to enjoy the Corvette camaraderie.Raffle prizes to benefit the American Cancer Society were donated by Pfadt Race Engineering, The Silverton Hotel & Casino, Mothers Polish and Spring Mountain. For the second time, participants Art and Joyce Majors won a Corvette Driving School certificate, and donating it back for auction, raising even more money for the American Cancer Society.
Thanks to Club Spring Mountain members Charles and Karyn Adamson for again providing the PA system and music for our Saturday night party.
Everyone at Corvette Track Days had the opportunity to  view the beautiful Spring Mountain “Ron Fellows C6RS” built by Pratt & Miller. On Sunday afternoon C6-R factory racecar driver Ron Fellows spent time on the track checking out the C6RS and in the paddock chatting with the participants. This week Spring Mountain Advanced Driving School had two professional race drivers in the Level 1 Corvette Class. NHRA Fuel Funny Car Drag Racers Melanie Troxel and Tommy Johnson Jr. spent the few days prior to the NHRA Nationals at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, honing their road track skills at Spring Mountain before competing on the drag strip.
The Spring Mountain fleet of twenty-three C6 Corvettes is upgrading again. We have purchased additional 2008 Z51 Corvettes and expect three Jet Stream Blue 2008 Z06 Corvettes to arrive any day. Lotus Challenge Series  On March 8-9, 2008 we were thrilled to have Lotus Challenge Series racers at an exciting event on our 2.2-mile road course. The Lotus Challenge Series started as an independent organization in 2007 to provide a venue for racing the Lotus Elise, Exige, 2-Eleven and Lotus Cup Cars.

It was an exciting race for the participants and the racers, and the winners were presented with their trophies at the conclusion. Thanks to Jim Navarro, Club Spring Mountain Charter Member, for organizing the event.

The goal of the Lotus Challenge Series is to inspire high performance driving, track events and racing of Lotus automobiles - to organize meets, events, driving schools, time trials, racing and other social activites and to encourage fellowship among all Lotus enthusiasts. Miss Spring Mountain
Spring Mountain is looking better every day with the arrival of our new spokesmodel, Jen Gillum. Jen is a model, a mom, a bartender at the Silverton Resort Hotel, a dancer and a racing enthusiuast! Jen is passionate about her new role at Spring Mountain, recounting her recent Corvette Level I Driving School experience, “I loved every minute of my time in class.
