Overview:
Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch is a 215-acre facility for motorsports enthusiasts located in Pahrump, Nevada – only 45 minutes from the glittering Las Vegas Strip. The Nevada firm includes a variety of track configurations ranging from 2.2 miles to 3.5 total miles, and an 8,000 square-foot building dedicated to the Ron Fellows Corvette Driving School operations, 80 garages for rental, and is home of the Advanced Driving School. The Ranch also features a Lotus Performance Driving School, a Radical Racing school, an SCCA License Recommendation school, and Teen Driving School.
In 2006, the firm launched Club Spring Mountain, the only private, member’s only motorsports/sports car country club in the southwestern United States. Membership and amenities include preferred track time, private driving instruction, an 8,000 square-foot exclusive resort-style club house complete with a track viewing tower, pool, fitness center, massage center, BBQ area and adjoining firing range and racquetball courts. Memberships start at $15,000.

Track & Rentals:
Spring Mountain’s purpose-built 3.5-mile road course with 20 turns challenges drivers with elements inspired by the world renowned Long Beach Grand Prix Street Circuit and the Mosport International Raceway. Drivers find banked corners, blind drops, technical off-camber corners and plenty of straight-aways. The track was designed as a learning tool for the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School. This optimum configuration keeps the car in constant transition, which-from a racing-testing perspective provides drivers with a very challenging experience. From car clubs, to photo shoots, to motorcycles, and more, the track is both a challenge and a pleasure to drive, plus breathtaking views of the Spring Mountains. Too, the Spring Mountain track is available for rent virtually any day of the week for testing, engineering and development, to club events and ride and drives.
Spring Mountain Advanced Driving School is one of the most respected and comprehensive driving schools in the country. A wide range of driving programs are offered, starting as low as $300, and are taught by dedicated professional driving instructors with the goal of providing an unforgettable track experience in a relaxed, fun and safe environment. Spring Mountain is the only place in the nation where participants can log up to 300 miles in a high performance vehicle. With a variety of courses to choose from, participants quickly learn advanced driving techniques such as Visual Scanning, skid control, accident avoidance, heel and toe downshifting, performance braking and handling techniques, and much more. Private driving instruction is also available. The desert climate ideally offers an environment for year-round driving programs with the track’s configuration of road courses aimed to meet everyone’s budget and schedule.
Repertoire of adrenaline-packed performance driving programs:
The highly-renowned Ron Fellows Performance Driving School – 1,2,3-day programs offer 300 miles of driving time and the ultimate Corvette test drive with two-way radios in the designated Corvette fleet of C6 Z51s and C6 Z06s, with class size as small as 16. Participants will learn to ‘drive like the pros’ with over 23 Corvettes in the fleet of high performance training vehicles.
Lotus Performance Driving School – 1 and 2-day programs; 16 Lotus Elise in fleet. The nimble-balanced Lotus is a pure-bred sports car and is the classroom.
Radical Experience Racing School – Intensive two-day high-performance driving school program with the insane performance of Great Britain’s Radical SR3 Tracksport race car built for high performance with 1,300 cc engines; 12 Radicals in fleet. Program takes place on the challenging 1.5 mile road course – the West Radical Loop. Featuring a wide variety of corners and elevation changes, the Radical will be in constant transition on the track. Radical racecar itself is the classroom, as participants get more seat time. Too, all Racing School graduates are qualified to rent Radicals upon availability at future Spring Mountain Radical Division track events.
SCCA Licensing Recommendation School – Become a licensed road racer through the Sports Car Club of America. Spring Mountain’s talented team of instructors provides the basic skills and techniques to realize a racing dream with checkered flags and roaring engines. Priced at $2,595 for 2-day.
Hands-on specialized Teen Driving School (new in 2009) starting at $495 with professional driving instructors. Students attend six-hour program that includes taking specially equipped “skid cars” that stimulate slipping and sliding to learn how to avoid crashes and come out of skids safely. Teens will learn how to deal with a variety of real-world driving scenarios, including how to control a vehicle when things go wrong.
Corporate and Team-Building Events – Spring Mountain is an ideal location businesses small and large to host groups and events, with a menu of activities to choose from ranging from half-day to multiple days.
Club Spring Mountain, created in May 2006, is dedicated to drivers and car aficionados of all ages and experience, or says CEO and Co-Owner John Morris, “We’re selling memberships like a golf country club, but instead of golf, our members play with their own cars – Corvettes, Lamborghinis, Porsches, BMWs, Mercedes, Ferraris, Mustangs or even Mini-Coopers. Cars and drivers of all skill levels drive on the track at their own pace and experience the fun and excitement of motorsports with the added convenience and exclusivity of a luxurious, private club.” Club Spring Mountain offers several categories of Club Memberships, including Corporate ($100,000), Charter ($40,000), and Classic ($15,000) Memberships, in addition to other fees.
In addition to the one-time initiation fee based upon level of membership, monthly dues are $200 for Classic members, $150 monthly dues for Charter members, and $500 monthly dues for Corporate members, along with a $60 per day use fee which guarantees exclusive track time for up to 16 days per month. Members can invite guests to ride along in their cars, or to bring their own car to drive on the track, based on their membership category.
Typical Club Members: More than 200 members to date have signed to “Join the Club” with drivers, weekend-racers and wannabe racers, ranging in age from 18 to 70, taking advantage of the safe, professional level course and the new cushy facilities, as well as every weekend of dedicated track time and most bank holidays!

Insurance Requirements: All visitors, driving school participants, and Club Members are required to sign a waiver relieving Spring Mountain of liability. Any costs for damage to the cars are the full responsibility of the participant and/or member. The Club has liability insurance that covers the members. If a member does damage to their car, the member and/or their own private insurance will be fully responsible.
