01 racingWelcome to our winter wonderland in the desert where instead of sleigh bells you'll hear the roar of engines and feel the rush of adrenaline! Drive with members and guests at the Spring Mountain Racing Invitational December 13-16 during the final Race weekend of the year. Drivers are in for some major competition for the Championship Trophies in the 2018 Club Race Series.The Clubhouse looks festive, so come out and raise a glass with your friends to celebrate the end of a spectacular year! Refer to our Event Calendar to plan your track visits this month and through 2019.

02 sm estatesWe are preparing for the biggest year in Spring Mountain's history, with the sale expected to close on our 620-acre land acquisition and construction beginning on the Hotel and Casino at the entrance to the facility. Spring Mountain Estates, our 80-unit exclusive residential development, is going strong with more homes being built along the road course. Read more about the future of our growing motorsports paradise below.

Development News

Progress Report on Residential, Commercial and Acquisition

03 facility entranceMajestic Realty, Developer of the Commercial project at the entrance to the facility, was recently granted a Conditional Use Permit for a 5-story Hotel and a Casino with a restaurant and Starbucks Coffee Company. The project, approved unanimously by the Pahrump Regional Planning Commissioners, is a vital element in the growth of the town, and the first Commercial Development to be approved in Pahrump in 10 years. Included in the first phase of the project is a major brand 125-room all-suite Hotel and Silverton themed Casino with over 200 slots, 5 game tables, a sports book and café. Restaurant and retail opportunities will also be available on individual parcels fronting Highway 160.

04 land aquisition mapNevada's Governor Brian Sandoval submitted a letter of support for the acquisition of 620 acres from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) with a sale date set for January 18. After the sale we will be on the fast track (pun intended) for future development to include over 3 miles of new road course, more classrooms and paddock space, and a drag strip. Our massive Water and Sewer Treatment plant, built to serve the community and surrounding areas, is 100% complete and has been signed off by the State of Nevada. Great Basin Water Company, the operator of the plant, is scheduled to release the Certificate of Operations any day now.

05 lightstreamLightning fast internet connectivity is essential for our growth, and fiber optic communications are now completely switched on at the track. Parcels in our residential development, Spring Mountain Estates, are also hard wired for fiber. Spring Mountain Estates is the first residential community in the state of Nevada to be equipped with fiber optic technology, with up to 2 gigabits of bandwidth available at each property.


Club Race Weekend – December 13-16

Holiday Fun with Members and Guests next weekend

06 race weekendGet ready for double the excitement next weekend during the final race of the year. The finale of the 2018 series and the Spring Mountain Racing Invitational, held on the Mansell "B" 3.5-mile course, is open to members and also to non-members racing Radical Sports cars, Wolf Racing Cars, and other closed wheel prototypes. We’re expecting over 30 cars on the grid with lots of competition! Some of the categories are so close that we won’t know the outcome until the final contest, so be prepared for some suspenseful racing.

07 sm estates propertyThe fun begins Thursday at 7:30 am with parade laps for our guests to review the track. At 8:00 a mandatory LSR Invited guests driver’s meeting will be held, with 20-minute open sessions for Sports Car, LSR members, and LSR Invited Guests, followed by lunch in the Clubhouse from 12:05-1:05 pm. Open sessions for all categories continue at 1:05 pm through the afternoon.

Thursday night cocktail reception! Members and guests are invited to the home of John Morris from 4-5:30 pm at his new rooftop lounge, featuring expansive views of the property, beer, wine and hors d’oeuvres. During the reception John will share his vision for the future of the facility and deliver an update on the latest development news. Hope to see you all there.

08 racingOn Friday the races begin! At 7:30 am Parade laps will be held to review the track, followed by open sessions, qualifying sessions, drivers meetings, and races for each category. Races will be held for LSR Members Only, Miata & Lotus, and LSR Invited Guests. Podium presentations will follow and open track will be run at the end of the day. Lunch will be served in the Clubhouse between 11:30 - 1:00.09 green car

Find out who will be receiving the year-end trophies for all categories at the 2018 Championship Awards Banquet Friday night at 6:00 pm. Our own Executive Chef Susan DeLisle is preparing a feast for our members and guests and an enjoyable evening of awards and accolades has been planned.

Don’t miss the opportunity to meet and greet the CEO of Radical Sports Cars, Joe Anwyll, along with a few top members of his team, race technicians and a pro-driving coach. The team at Radical Sports Cars has supported our members through the year and we appreciate their attendance at the closing of our 2018 Race Series.

Don Cole, proprietor of Custom Ear Protection will be here Thursday–Saturday to show members and guests his custom ear plugs. Don can fit, shape and deliver custom ear plugs for some drivers the same day.

10 miataSaturday begins at 7:30 am with parade laps to review the track and open sessions for all categories. Invited guests will run with members in the LSR class throughout the day with a separate race for LSR members held at 11:55 am. Two 50-minute Enduro Races will be held for Miata & Lotus and LSR, followed by podium presentations for all categories. Open track will be run at the close of the day followed by dinner in the clubhouse. Lunch is served from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm.

11 race startSunday features 25-minute open sessions for LSR and Sports Cars throughout the day, with the track closed for lunch from 12:00-1:00 pm.
