Highlights of a Phenomenal Year

01 newyearHappy New Year from all of us at Club Spring Mountain! Our resolution for 2018 is to continue providing the highest-quality amenities, events and services for our valued members. 2017 was a fabulous year! More developments and new partnerships made your Club experience more fun and rewarding. Our goal to create an all-inclusive luxury destination for motorsports enthusiasts and families is being fulfilled and as always, we appreciate your support.

Highlights of 2017's accomplishments are listed below:

January 2017: After 3 1/2 years of planning, Nye County commissioners approved the final residential subdivision map for Spring Mountain Estates, our development at the facility with 80 home and mixed-use lots. Officials also approved street names such as Spring Mountain Blvd., Octane Court, Radical Court, Indy Court, Formula Court and more.

02 PavingMarch 2017: The Spring Mountain development team embarked on a vigorous schedule of compacting, rough grading and fine-grading 80 home sites at the facility. The final subdivision map recorded on March 6, clearing the way for construction to begin and for members holding deposits to enter into an escrow agreement.

April 2017: Spring Mountain hosts the US launch of the Generation 3 SR8. As described by the manufacturer, "The SR8 is a truly exhilarating drive, powered by a bespoke Radical V8 engine with physics-defying grip, relentless acceleration and powerful brakes.

April 2017: The Department of Real Estate approved the Sales Certificate for Spring Mountain Estates, allowing construction to begin on Member's properties. Nye County Assessor's office applied parcel numbers and addresses to the home sites. Spring Mountain Estates Homeowners Association was established.

03 jeffrey Cheng ConstructionMay 2017: Construction begins on the water and sewer plant with expectations to complete the project in less than one year. In addition meetings with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) were held to acquire approximately 600 acres adjacent to the facility for additional track and supporting structures.

August 2017: Construction of the Sewer and Water Treatment plant is moving at a brisk pace. The east track was closed during the month of August to build a tunnel for access by the Utility Company.

September 2017: Spring Mountain entered into an agreement with a privately-held developer of master-planned business parks in the US to develop a portion of the 22 acres at the entrance to the facility. The agreement is for the construction of a major hotel property with a casino, restaurant and retail shops.

October 2017: Construction on the Water/Sewer Treatment project progresses, and more members are planning their trackside homes. The water and sewer is over 70% installed along the residential lots and the water storage tanks near completion for the rough installation.

04 Hotel Casino 2November 2017: Silverton Casino Hotel plans a new mixed-use development project located on the commercial parcel at the entrance to the facility. The first phase of the project includes a major brand 110 room all-suite hotel connected to a new casino to be designed and operated by Silverton. The casino will feature over 200 slots, 5 game tables, a sports book and café. In addition restaurant and retail opportunities will be available on individual parcels fronting Highway 160. Future phases planned at the project include a large retail, entertainment, restaurant and movie theatre district. The project is expected to break ground in the Fall of 2018.

December 2017: The Spring Mountain Racing Invitational, held on the Mansell "C" 3.4-mile course, opened to members and non-members racing Radical Sports cars, Wolf Racing Cars, and other closed wheel prototypes. Highlights of the Invitational included an Enduro race and over 10 hours of track time over 4 days.

2018 will be a remarkable year with big announcements to be revealed in the coming months. We are grateful for our valued members; without you our progress would not be possible. You have supported our vision through the years, and we thank you for coming along on this exciting ride with us. You are part of the family, and we are looking forward to making more memories in 2018!


Facility Development Update

Construction Progress for Water/Sewer Treatment Plant and Commercial Papers Signed

06 video2018 starts off strong, with more development for Spring Mountain Estates and Spring Mountain Commercial. The Water and Sewer Treatment plant is progressing well, with very few weather delays. Paving on the road for all parcels backing up to the track should be completed in January, and the perimeter block wall should be finished by mid-month. The block wall is 6 feet high and approximately 1½ miles long around the property. Final completion of the water tanks and lines running across the Commercial property is also expected this month.

07 john morrisThe Purchase Agreement has been signed on the 7.56 acre parcel for mixed-use development including an all-suite hotel, casino, restaurant and retails shops at the entrance to the facility. The commercial project is expected to break ground in Fall of this year. It won't be long before we begin seeing construction on members' homes going vertical around the track and we're excited to see the outcome!

Club Race Weekend - January 12-13

No winter weather here! Sunshine Predicted for the first Race Contest of 2018

08 ClubhouseAwardsBring your shades....sunny skies and highs in the mid-60's are expected for race weekend at our oasis in the Mojave desert - Club Spring Mountain. Escape the cold and bask in the sun on the Fittipaldi (C) 3.6-mile road course this weekend, January 12-13.

It's going to be a weekend of fun and competition, and now is the time to begin accumulating points for year-end totals. A great turnout of members competing on the fast and technical Fittipaldi 3.6-mile configuration is expected, so call Elizabeth McGee and make your reservation today!

09 JohnDaveThe weekend begins Friday at 8:00 am with Miata & Lotus and LSR open and qualifying sessions, followed by mandatory Driver's only meetings for all categories in the Administrative building. The races for Miata & Lotus will be held at 1:00 pm, followed by track maintenance and the LSR Race at 1:45 pm. Podium presentations for all classes are at 2:30 pm with open sessions until 4:00 pm. Lunch will be served in the Clubhouse between 11:00 - 12:30 pm. The bar is open at 4:00 pm followed by Dinner in the Clubhouse at 6:00 pm.

Clubhouse Dinner: Executive Chef Susan DeLisle is preparing another feast for us on Friday night at 6:00 pm, so don't miss out on an evening filled with fun and camaraderie with fellow members and guests.

09 FletchPetrieSaturday's activities begin at 8:00 am with 25-minute open sessions for Miata & Lotus and LSR, followed by qualifying sessions for both categories. After mandatory drivers meetings for all categories the Miata & Lotus race will be held at noon, and the LSR race at 12:45 followed by Podium presentations for all classes. Lunch will be served in the Clubhouse from 11:00 - 12:30 pm. Open track will be from 1:30 - 4:00 pm and the bar will be open at 2:30 pm.

For accommodations call Elizabeth to reserve one of our luxurious trackside condominiums. With all of the features of a high-end resort and an unbeatable location with views of the track, there's no better place to be for the weekend's activities.

10 LandauCarillustrationsRace fees are $200 per day for members participating in the LSR Race plus a $250 track support fee per day. The Miata race fee is $75 per day for members. Remember that in order to provide sufficient race support staff on hand for the weekend we need your RSVP as soon as possible. Please contact Elizabeth with the details of your visit. Elizabeth will ensure you have accommodations for yourself and your guests, along with anything else you may require during your stay.

Powertec Honored as Radical's First Global Engine Facility

Exceeding Qualifying Criteria for Radical's Service Training Program

11 Powertec DignitariesPowertec America, Spring Mountain Motor Resort and Country Club's very own engine builder, was honored to be the first global authorized engine service center for Radical Sportscars Limited during December's SM Racing Invitational.

Powertec America exceeded the qualifying criteria for Radical's Authorized Engine Service Training Program certification. The accreditation encompasses engine building, engine dialing and engine tuning. Powertec America specializes in refreshing and rebuilding Radical engines to meet all original manufacturer's specifications, so customers can race with confidence.

"It's an extreme honor to be recognized as the first engine service center outside of Radical," said Sean McGray, Director of Operations, Spring Mountain Racing. "We will continue to provide the best customer service and support for our members and customers across the country. Our clients entrust us with their engines knowing they will be built to the best standards outside of the factory."

We are excited to receive this certification so all Radical consumers can feel confident when choosing Powertec America for their next engine build.


Membership Costs and Guest Driver Fee Price Changes

Price Increases for new Members and Guest Drivers

12 towerPlease be advised that effective January 1, 2018, the Guest Driver Fee is increasing to $150 per day. As a reminder, our Charter members can invite three (3) guest drivers per day and each of those individual guest drivers can drive 3 days per calendar year. Corporate members can invite 10 guest drivers per day and each of those individual drivers can drive 3 days per calendar year.

New Members of Club Spring Mountain will be paying higher fees to join the Club effective February 1, 2018. Charter Members will pay a $60,000 Initiation Fee and Corporate Members' Initiation Fee will be $140,000. The yearly dues for new members will also increase. If you have friends interested in joining the Club please let them know of the price increase. They will realize significant savings if they join before February 1. Please note that the membership price increases do not affect existing members' yearly dues.
