Looking back on 2012...A Year in Review
Happy New Year from Club Spring Mountain...
your destination for high adrenaline fun in 2013! Reflecting on an exciting and memorable 2012, we closed the year with significant improvements to the facility and new services to our valued members. Highlights are listed below.
. A Major Expansion of our Administration Building was completed, including 1550 square feet of office space, more administrative offices, and additional mechanical lifts with 7 mechanical bays.
. A 3,000 square foot shade cover was constructed for race participants and Radical operations.
. The Winners' Podium was given a complete facelift with exciting new graphics for better photos for the race champions.
. The acquisition of a 120-acre parcel of property from the BLM was finalized in May 2012. With the addition of the new parcel, the total size of the facility is now 313 acres and is slated for future development.
. Sector 111 opened a satellite race shop at Spring Mountain to offer service and support to Club members, including service, track set-up and upgrades.
. The In-Car Flag Alert System was introduced, which alerts you immediately from Race Control as track conditions change, including the ability to communicate directly to you in your individual car, through your unique ID number.
. We introduced a partnership with a new
"Sister Club," Monticello Motor Club, and offered the Radical 2-Day Driving Experience in the summer of 2012 in the beautiful Catskill region of Monticello, New York.
. In the fall of 2012 we laid an additional 127,000 square feet and 2040 tons of asphalt, resulting in a 3/4 mile track extension. Not only did we add new track, we also made changes to certain sections to improve safety for our drivers. The new track is composed of state-of-the-art asphalt material.
. Introduction of the ALL NEW Cadillac V-Series Academy, with a whole new fleet of Cadillac vehicles to try out on the track.
. Construction was completed on a full commercial kitchen, adjacent to the bar, and we now offer meal service for breakfast, lunch and dinner on select weekends with a gourmet menu changing per season developed by our new Executive Chef, Susan DeLisle.
It has been our pleasure to serve our valued Club members, and we look forward to welcoming a year filled with continued development, more activities, and many more reasons to visit the track for excitement this year.
Make your resolution to schedule more visits to Spring 
Mountain this year! In 2013 we are planning more events, more Club races and more amenities for all to experience. We're expecting another GREAT year and our membership continues to grow at a steady rate, thanks to referrals from our loyal and enthusiastic members (we appreciate your support!) This year we will create memories with members and friends old and new. More development is planned at the facility this year. The future looks bright for members of Club Spring Mountain, and we hope you will be joining us more often in 2013.
None of our progress would have been possible without your support and enthusiasm, and we thank you sincerely for your business through the years. We're looking forward to serving you now and in the future.

Club Race Weekend - January 26-27, 2013
Join us for the FIRST Big Race Weekend of the Season
It's time to celebrate the New Year at Spring Mountain Motor Resort & Country Club. 
Join us to watch and/or participate in the first big race events of the year....the Radical Series and the Bracket Races will be held on January 26-27, 2013. There's something for everyone - Radical or Sports Car fans, come participate in all the excitement. Start your weekend early as once again this month our valued members will enjoy exclusive use of the full track on both Thursday and Friday to practice for the big race.
We are expecting a great showing of Radicals and Sports Cars at the race, with drivers vying for points and trophies at the end of the year. Now is your chance for a brand new start in 2013! The Bracket-style race for sports cars will be held both Saturday and Sunday, which includes ALL makes of Sports Cars. Slower cars and drivers will start the race with a time advantage over faster and more experienced drivers, so everyone has an equal chance to win the contest.
Please mark your calendars to attend this big event, which will include a mandatory driver's meeting at 8:00 am on Saturday and Sunday, and a special 50 mph Orientation Session at 8:30 am, for drivers to familiarize themselves with the track configuration in use. Race weekend features back-to-back run sessions all day, a Radical and Bracket-style race on both Saturday and Sunday, and a special Clubhouse dinner on Saturday night, January 26, 2012. On Saturday we will be running the 2.9-mile Stewart course, and on Sunday the 3.67-mile Fittipaldi course will be in use. A complimentary continental breakfast will be served in the Clubhouse each day, and the price for lunches is $15.00 per person with pre-registration or $25.00 at the event, and dinner is $35.00 per person with pre-registration or $45.00 at the event, not including alcoholic beverages at the bar.
Saturday Night Banquet. On Saturday night, 
January 26 you are invited to join your fellow members for celebratory Cocktails in the bar, followed by a sumptuous dinner prepared by our Executive Chef, Susan De.Lisle. View the Race Weekend Menu. **Please note the Club Restaurant is open nightly for dinner, so be sure to stop in while you're here and try out some of Chef Susan's culinary creations.
Club members are cordially invited to participate in the Radical and Bracket-style races. The cost for the Radical race weekend for members and guests is $450.00 per day, which includes race fees and full track support. View the complete schedule, including event rules, for 
the Saturday and Sunday races. Invite your friends and family to come out and be your cheerleaders in one of our many race-viewing venues at the facility. With consecutive 25-minute sessions in Race Car, Sports Car and Novice Groups, you'll have the time of your life as you compete with your fellow members at this fun and memorable race weekend.

Races, Online Forums and New Models!
Radical Cup 2013
The 2013 Radical Cup Series is a professional support series that will be sanctioned by NORTH AMERICAN ROAD RACING ASSOCIATION (NARRA),
one of the most respected race series sanctioning and management bodies best known for their SRT Viper Cup and USGTC Series. The Radical Cup is open to all Radical SR3 and SR8 owners who have prior racing experience and hold a current racing license with SCCA, NASA, IMSA, FIA or Grand-Am. (The Chief Steward may also approve drivers with club racing experience in a Radical.) A handful of arrive-and-drive options in an SR3 and SR8 - offered through Radical West - are also available
.
The six round championship will take place at top racing circuits in North America (Miller Motorsports Park, Road Atlanta, Laguna Seca, VIR, AutoBahn and Monticello), and Radical West and Powertec will provide optional track-side support at each round to ensure every competitor gets the most out their racing. Both racing classes - SR3 and SR8 - will run simultaneously.

Spring Mountain is proud to announce the new Radical Forum. The Radical Forum is an online community for Radical owners and all racing enthusiasts. You can now experience some of the fun and excitement you have at Club Spring Mountain between your visits to the track. The Radical Forum gives its members the opportunity to connect with friends, discuss your last race, share your experience and comment on your newest racing gadget. Radical ownership is not necessary to be a member, and we welcome racing enthusiasts from all over the world. So no matter what you drive, or want to drive, we want you to be part of the community!
To join the forum, simply click on the Radical Forum link and fill out the easy registration form. After your registration you will receive an Activation email. Click on the URL in the email and you're good to go.

The New Radical RXC Unveiled
From across the pond, Radical Sportscars
has revealed its eagerly awaited Le Mans-inspired road car, the Radical RXC (Extreme Coupe), featuring a heavily tuned mid-mounted 283kW Ford V6 engine.
Radical currently holds the production car lap record at the famous Nurburgring circuit with its Radical SR8, but alongside the RXC road car is a race variant ready for International GT and sports car competition that is sure to push production car boundaries further again.
The all-new Radical RXC is the result of three and a half years of development and is a clean-sheet design that is arguably the world's most extreme road-legal (at least in the UK) coupe. Radical Owner Phil Abbott described Radical's first-ever enclosed car, the new RXC as a 'milestone track and race car.'
