NEW In Car Flag Alert System

We are pleased to introduce the NEW in-car Flag Alert System, which has been tested and is ready for use on the Spring Mountain Motor Resort & Country Club road course. Designed by Gary Hardesty, Club Spring Mountain Charter Member, and the creator of the state-of-the-art Track Marshall System, the in-car Flag Alert System is the best way to stay safe on the race track, and the only one of its kind in the world.

The system will alert you immediately from Race Control as track conditions change, including the ability to communicate directly to you in your individual car, through your unique ID number.

The system displays the following flags in full color and any ambient lighting condition:

* Green
* Yellow
* Red
* White

On an individual basis, the system can give you the following flags:

* Blue passing flag
* Black flag
* Yellow flag

The new In Car system consists of a small transceiver module, which can be mounted in any convenient location, and a small, rugged, high brightness LED display module. The system works wirelessly, driven by commands from the Race Control software. Long distance communication assures in-car reliability. 12 volt operation allows the system to be used in any vehicle, with simple, fast, non-technical installation.

Only a limited supply of these units will be available for the upcoming race weekend on June 9, so if you are interested, please contact Simon Shepard by email simonshepard05@yahoo.com, or by phone at (714) 369-3361 to be the first to use this state-of-the-art In-Car system at the June race. The price is $1,195.00 plus installation. Production is being expedited for the fall season and we expect to have plenty of In-Car systems available before the September season.

Club Race Weekend - June 9-10, 2012

Don't Miss our June Combined Race Event....Miata, Radical and Bracket Races!

Join us this month for the big Club Race competition to be held on June 9-10, 2012. There's something for everyone - Radical, Miata or Sports Car fans, enjoy the camaraderie and participate in all the excitement. For those who would like to practice before the race, we are opening up the full track on Thursday and Friday to the members. We are expecting a large field of Radicals and Miatas at the race, with drivers competing for points and trophies at the end of the year. Now is your chance to add more points to your cumulative totals through the Spring season.

Please plan to attend this fun springtime event, which will include a mandatory driver's meeting at 8:00 am on both days, back-to-back run sessions all day, a Radical race on both Saturday and Sunday, a Miata Race both Saturday and Sunday, a Bracket-style race on Saturday and a special Clubhouse dinner on Saturday night, June 9, 2012. We will be running the 3.4-mile track on Saturday and the 2.5-mile course on Sunday. Meals for the weekend festivities will be catered by Mountain Falls Grill Room. Lots of delicious food is being prepared for your enjoyment, including creative salads, grilled chicken, brisket, burgers, prime rib and swordfish, not to mention some wonderful desserts. A complimentary continental breakfast will be served in the Clubhouse each day, and the price for lunches is $15.00 per person with pre-registration or $25.00 at the event, and dinner is $35.00 per person with pre-registration or $45.00 at the event, not including alcoholic beverages at the bar.

Fuel Increases

New Fuel Prices Effective June 1

Please be advised that as of June 1, 2012 our fuel prices to our members have increased by 50 cents on the 100, 91 and 87 octane varieties, due to increased costs of fuel and delivery prices.

New Prices - Effective June 1, 2012

100 octane: $9.00 a gallon (from $8.50)
91 octane: $6.00 a gallon (from $5.50)
87 octane: $5.00 a gallon (from $4.50)
