Celebrate Spring at the Club

Activities, Events and Major Milestones this month

SM desert Fun by GGWhile a few weeks of winter still remain, the arrival of spring with longer days mean more hours of driving fun with fellow adrenaline seekers. Club Spring Mountain is your destination: satisfy your need for speed on the track and experience off-road adventures in the desert, enjoy luxurious comforts in the Clubhouse, work out in the fitness center, indulge in a massage with Tina, relax in the spa, warm-up at the outdoor fire pit, catch up with old friends and meet new ones. With all the experiences available along with the exhilaration of driving, members and guests are spending more time than ever at the Club.

Spring Mountain Entrance With the new season comes long-awaited news about our residential development, Spring Mountain Estates. It will now be possible for you to enter into an escrow agreement on a parcel of land at the facility as the final map has been approved by the county and will be recorded this month. See article below for more information.

Lotus Group 2017This month is filled with exciting activities and events. Club Race Weekend is March 3-4, and more of our members are joining the fun in the Miata and Light Sport Racing Series. Our non-racing weekend, April 29-30, is filling up with participants. Specifically designed for members who are non-racers and sports car drivers, Club Coordinator, Elizabeth McGee, reports that we are planning a weekend of fun and special events for you and your guests. You can register for this fun event through our website and our new Club Spring Mountain App! Please refer to our Event Calendar to choose your dates to visit the track.

Residential Expansion News

Spring Mountain Estates Plans Clear Hurdle

Jeffrey Cheng's HouseAfter 3 1/2 years of planning, in January Nye County commissioners approved the final residential subdivision map for Spring Mountain Estates, our residential development at the facility with 80 home and mixed-use lots. Officials also approved street names such as Spring Mountain Blvd., Octane Court, Radical Court, Indy Court, Formula Court and more.

Johns HouseRuss Meads, Developer and head of Double M Construction, Inc. will begin an aggressive schedule to complete the infrastructure of utilities and roads, along with the construction of a water-treatment plant on the premises, with completion scheduled for late 2017.

Members who are currently holding deposits on lots at Spring Mountain Estates can soon open escrows and begin building homes in the new subdivision. More information will be communicated to deposit-holders directly in the next few weeks so stay tuned for more news from us.

Club Race Weekend March 3-4

Join us this weekend for a fun-filled race contest

Miata RaceAnother action-packed event is planned March 3-4 on the Andretti (C) 4-mile course. The Andretti is long, fast and technical: guaranteed to provide lightning-paced excitement for all participants. Join other drivers for a lively race competition this weekend!

Beginning on Friday at 8:00 am, 25-minute run sessions for Sports Cars (including Miata and Lotus,) Light Sport Racer (LSR, including Wolf and Radical cars) and qualifying sessions will be held for both categories until 11:00 followed by lunch in the ClubhouseMonica and Brandon. A Mandatory Drivers-Only race meeting for Miata and LSR will be held after lunch with Miata and LSR Races beginning at 1:30 pm. Podium presentations for Miata and LSR winners will be held with a Lotus race at 2:50 pm followed by the Lotus podium presentation. Open track for all participants begins at 3:20 pm and the bar opens at 4:00, followed by dinner in the Clubhouse.

Saturday begins at 8:00 am with three 50-minute qualifying sessions for Miata, LSR and Lotus groups, followed by Mandatory Drivers-only meetings for each category in the Administrative building. The Miata race starts at 10:50 am with lunch in the Clubhouse at 11:15. The LSR and Lotus races begin at 11:30 am with podium presentations for the winners following. Open track begins at 1:30 and runs till 4:00 pm at which time the bar is open for cocktails.LSR Race

Friday Night Celebration! Join us for a scrumptious Italian feast on Friday night by Executive Chef Susan DeLisle. Members always look forward to Susan's creative and delicious meals and this weekend is going to be another winner.

10 security cameraThe management and staff at Club Spring Mountain hold your protection and security in the highest regard. To ensure your safety, video surveillance cameras are positioned throughout the Clubhouse and other public areas of the facility. The videos are monitored regularly by our security department, and employees adhere to the strictest code of conduct in monitoring the output.
