May flowers are in bloom in the desert, and this is a wonderful time to visit your own private oasis and Motor Resort at Club Spring Mountain. 
The weather is nice for outdoor barbeques, cocktails and camaraderie with your fellow members, not to mention perfecting your time on the track for race titles and bragging rights! While you're on the track, your guests will experience the luxurious setting of a private club, work out in the fitness center, enjoy a massage with Tina, relax in a bubbling spa, or just kick back in the lounge and meet some new friends. If you haven't been to the Club in awhile, make it a point this month to stop by and experience all the adrenaline rush your system can handle.
May is a busy month with exciting activities and fun events with track organizations so please check the Event Calendar for the latest news. Members and guests enjoyed the Speed Ventures event last weekend, May 14-15 on the 3.1-mile course. Our new Club Miata Race Series is going strong and the next race will be held May 28-29, 2011 on the 2.2-mile track. The May Club Race Series is set for May 21-22 2011 and will be bigger than ever, with lots of new members participating on the grid. More Members than ever are participating in the recently introduced Bracket Racing for all types of vehicles. Refer to our Event Calendar to choose your dates to visit the track this month.

Club Race Weekend - May 21-22, 2011
Join us for this Big Event!
Bring your friends and family to May's Member's Only Club Race Weekend! 
The weather will be beautiful for our next Club Race this weekend - May 21-22, 2011, so we're looking for biggest event of the season! Club members are invited to participate in the Radical Race in three categories - SR3, Unlimited and Rookie. Sports Car drivers are also encouraged to participate in the fun in our Sports Car run group. Bracket Racing will again be held, by popular demand! Club Members will be driving on the full track on both Saturday and Sunday. Don't miss your chance to continue accumulating points for the 2011 Championship.
Your Club Race weekend will begin at 8:30 am each day with a Mandatory Drivers Meeting, followed by back-to-back run sessions, and two big races: the Radical Race the Bracket-style Race contests. During consecutive 25-minute sessions in Race Car, Sports Car and Novice Groups, you can power your vehicle through Spring Mountain's latest course configurations. Entry fees for the event are $200.00 for the race fee on Saturday plus $250.00 for full track support per day.

Holiday Weekend Casual Fare. May's race weekend is going to be low-cost and casual, with "make your own" sandwich lunches available at $8.00 per person, and a fun BBQ on Saturday night at $10.00 per person (not including bar service.)

New 16-Unit Residential Condo Building Underway
Spring Mountain Motor Resort and Country Club is in need of more space for members and guests. Therefore we are pleased to announce the expansion of our residential options at the facility.
This spring the skyline is changing to include the development of a 16-unit Condominium/garage building in the lower paddock area, 
next to the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School operations. The new condominium complex, available for rent or lease, features 16 deluxe units: half with double queens and half with king-sized beds. All units include private baths and wet bars. Five of the units will have rear balconies with great views of turns 1 and 2 and with only 60 feet between your window and the road course... a perfect vantage point for watching all the action on the track!
The garages on the first floor will be large enough to accommodate multiple cars and extra vehicles, great for the multicar race teams or groups of friends who like to share set-up tips, and will be ready for a classroom setting. The building will also include additional restroom facilities for public access. The best feature of the building is its location in the center of the Motor Resort for large event weekends when the upper paddock will be busy. For students of the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School this will be the new location for the Drivers meetings. The building is comprised of 15,000 + square feet and we are now under construction. Framing has just begun, and we are expecting an estimated move-in date of October 1, 2011, just in time for the fall season.
