Lake Spring Mountain's Transformation

Enjoy our Resort-Style Lake with MORE Amenities being added this Season.

This season we have embarked on grand scale improvements at Lake Spring Mountain, our sparkling oasis for water sports such asTIKI BAR Rendering paddle boarding and water-propelled jet-packing. Landscape artists and construction workers are currently transforming the entire area to resemble a high-end resort, with colorful ground cover, palm trees, cabanas, fire-pits and Caribbean island-style white sand. The level of the water is rising each day as high-capacity pumps fill it from a nearby underground well. Soon the lake will look larger and more beautiful than ever.

TIKI BAR RenderingConstruction on the Aquatic center for Jetpack America operations and Paddle Board rentals is now underway, and we are happy to report that a fun and festive Tiki Bar will be built adjacent to the aquatic center with a wrap-around cocktail bar, sports center and Tahitian-style torches for social gatherings and events at the lake. The Tiki Bar will offer light fare such as BBQ sandwiches, snacks and specialty cocktails for sun- and fun-seeing members and guests. Improvements at the lake are expected to be completed in less than 60 days, which is perfect timing for summer parties and celebrations.

Next time you visit make it a point to stop by, schedule a thrilling water-propelled Jetpack ride and rent a paddleboard for great fun and exercise. Soon you will be sitting in a cabana or in the tiki bar relaxing, sunbathing, enjoying refreshments and watching all the action unfold at the lake. We look forward to seeing you there this summer!

John Falb comes with impressive credentials, from his start on motorcycles winning 5 third-place championships and completing 70 races; followed by winning the Radical Club championship two years in a row and the 2014 Radical Cup USA championship. Slusher-at-MontereyIn his first year of IMSA Prototype Lites competition he finished fourth overall with the Masters Championship. "Our plan was to run a clean race and give it our best. I think we did that." noted Falb. "The #16 Edvisors JetSuite car was dialed-in for race day and we had a great strategy going in," added John. "I'm pleased we were able to bring the car home in 5th. It was a great race and I can't wait for the opportunity to fight for a win!"

Todd Slusher, in his rookie year with no prior racing experience drove a Radical SR3 in the series and finished 2nd overall just missing first by a few points. He then began a series of endurance events such as the annual 25 Hours of Thunderhill where his team placed 1st in class and 3rd overall in a lineup of some 70 cars. After finishing 3rd overall in the Radical Cup it was the perfect time to go for a new series, Cooper Tires Prototype Lites series by IMSA. "Having this opportunity to race in the TUDOR United Sports Car Series in a PC car was not only amazing, it was the realization of a personal goal and dream," said Todd. "After having raced here a couple years ago in the Radical Cup, I knew someday I wanted to come back and experience the track again, I just had no idea it would be at this level or in a car of this magnitude."

Jeffrey Cheng's New Lamborghini Super Trofeo

Platinum member Jeffrey Cheng is the proud owner of the last remaining brand new Super Trofeo Gallardo race car in the world, Jeffrey-Chengs-New-Super-Trofeo-Gallardo-by-Brianbased on the Lamborghini Gallardo 570-4 street car.The Super Trofeo North America series, similar to the Ferrari Challenge with cars running at exactly the same specifications, has been run in Europe for many years and just started in North America two years ago.

Jeffrey was at the Club last weekend with a few friends, running his new car with the Speed Ventures group. He plans to keep the car intact, noting "Since my Gallardo is the last remaining un-raced, un-crashed and in perfect new condition race car - I don't intend to race it. I will keep it strictly as a fun track day car. However, I do have interest in participating in the Super Trofeo series and may purchase a new Huracan Super Trofeo to race in the series. Fortunately the Lamborghini series is only six races per year so the commitment isn't substantial!"
