Invite your friends and family to stay and play in the desert sunshine, watch the races and to enjoy the beautiful spring weather. The weather is warm, and Lake Spring Mountain will be open to members beginning Memorial Day Weekend. Relax in the refreshing waters, enjoy exciting water sports, rent water toys or cabanas, or just soak up the sun on our pristine white sand beaches. Only at Spring Mountain Motor Resort & Country Club can you experience a beach-inspired oasis in the middle of a racetrack!

Plans for the acquisition and development of 620 acres adjacent to the facility are moving along, and our $13.4 Million Water and Sewer Treatment plant project is nearly complete. The two 600-gallon water tanks are in place, and the paving of the residential streets and cul-de-sacs has been completed.

03 johnWe are happy to report the final Commercial Map has been recorded with Nye County, and Silverton Casino Resort’s plans are progressing for its mixed-use development project on a 7-acre portion of the commercial land at the entrance to the facility. The project is expected to break ground this year.

Inaugural Event Showcased Members' Specialty Cars

04 invitationalLast weekend’s Sports Car Invitational was, by all accounts, a huge success! Participants, including 30 drivers, scored a welcome bag at registration featuring gifts from our sponsors, logo items and a commemorative windbreaker. The weekend included time trials, bracket races and other festivities including a Cinco De Mayo themed dinner on Saturday. Members generously showcased their one-of-a-kind cars at the Saturday night Concorso. For a complete recap, photos and results visit the Event page, prepared by our amazing Marketing Team. A huge thank you to all of our staff who worked so hard to make this event so memorable for members and guests.


Club Race Weekend May 18-20

Join your fellow Members for High Adrenaline Excitement

05 andretti eventGet ready for next weekend’s event on the Andretti (B) 4-mile configuration with sunny skies and highs in the 80’s expected for the festivities. Elizabeth McGee, Members Coordinator, asks that you RSVP if you are planning to attend as condos are filling up quickly. You should receive a confirmation email from Elizabeth if you sent an RSVP, so if you haven’t received one please contact Elizabeth to be sure you have accommodations for the event. Radical or Wolf drivers who need track support for the weekend, Elizabeth will communicate your needs to Spring Mountain Racing.

06 garageBeginning Friday at 8:00 am, practice sessions will be held for Sports Car and LSR categories, followed by qualifying sessions for both groups. Mandatory Driver’s only meetings for Sports Car and LSR categories begin at 10:00 and 10:15 in the Administrative Building, with Sports Car and LSR Qualifying following. The track closes between 12-1 pm. The Sports Car Race will be held at 1 pm, followed by track maintenance and the LSR race at 1:40 pm. A Podium Presentation for all classes begins at 2:20 pm; from 2:20 – 4:00 pm open sessions will be held and the bar is open at 4 pm. A special opportunity for lunch with Senator Dean Heller is available between 11:30-1:00 pm in the Clubhouse.

07 podiumFriday Night Dinner at the Clubhouse! Susan DeLisle, Executive Chef, is preparing another delectable spread for members and guests on Friday night, May 18.

Saturday’s practice Sessions begin at 8:00 am for all categories with qualifying sessions for the race following. All of the driver’s meetings and races will take place before lunchtime. The track will be closed between 11:55-1:00 pm and lunch will be served in the clubhouse between 11:30-1 pm. Podium presentations for LSR and Sports Car categories begin at 12:10 pm, with an open track for all drivers between 1:00-4:00 pm. Celebrations begin in the bar at 4 pm.

08 podiumSunday features open sessions for LSR and Sports Cars throughout the day, with the track closed for lunch from 12:00 - 1:00 pm.

Lunch with U.S. Senator Dean Heller

09 dean hellerJoin us during our May race weekend for an informal lunch in support of U.S. Senator Dean Heller. Senator Heller will be joining us Friday, May 18th from 12-1 pm and will be available to answer questions and provide updates on matters relating to the BLM, corporate tax reform, support for veterans and other important issues.

The Senator has conservative values and has fought for real tax reform, balanced budgets, and a strong national defense supported by a secure border. A proud husband, father, grandfather, and life-long Nevadan, Senator Heller is committed to serving as our state's strongest voice in Washington, D.C. Raised in Carson City, he currently resides in Smith Valley with his wife Lynne, to whom he has been married for 30 years.
