The Club of Your Dreams
Live your Best Life at Club Spring Mountain
At Club Spring Mountain, our members are living the dream, with countless activities available for everyone, all nestled in a perfect destination near fabulous Las Vegas. Our 900+ acre facility is truly an adult playground, and we offer an environment where your loved ones will be comfortable and entertained while you are on the track. In addition, we are constantly improving our beautiful facility to make your experience even more memorable for our valued members and guests. There's something for everyone at the Club!
We are happy to report that April is starting out with beautiful spring weather, and major progress is being made on development projects at the facility (see report below.) The month began with some high-adrenaline events. Members had a chance to run with the Audi Club of Southern California and Southern Nevada last weekend at its High Performance Driving School on the Charleston Peak North Track, March 31-April 2. You won't want to miss our next Club Race Weekend April 13-16, where members will drive the Charleston Peak 3.23-mile Full Course.
Please join us in welcoming our latest new members, Brad Chapman of San Diego, CA, along with his children, Grayson Chapman and Ashton Bloss. We look forward to seeing Brad, Grayson and Ashton on the track and at the Club!
We are verifying and updating our Club member records and need your help. Last week, our Club Coordinator Reyna Christen sent an email with a fillable PDF file. Please fill out the form and return back to Reyna so that our records are accurate. Thank you!
Join your fellow members in living the life that dreams are made of at Club Spring Mountain. We are grateful for your enthusiasm, friendship and support, and we look forward to seeing you at the Club. As always, our goal is to continue to provide a phenomenal Club experience for you and your guests. See you at the track!
Facility Development Update
4-Story Tower Breaks Ground, Redevelopment of the Lake, plus Exciting Karting News
Progress continues with development and changes to the skyline at the facility. Our 4-story control tower features a section for race spotters and soars 55 feet above the track, providing perfect visibility of the entire Charleston Peak race circuit. Construction will begin this month on this much-anticipated project. The newly-updated design, currently in the building department for approval, consists of a lower lounge area on the first floor, with the second and third floors designated for track viewing and the fourth floor utilized for race control. (Click to enlarge the drawing.)
Our state-of-the-art Race America Electronic flagging system has been completed, under the supervision of Zach Dowdell, Director of Special Projects.
Plans are underway for the Lake Spring Mountain area to undergo a major redevelopment with 37 RV spaces, a large, resort-style pool, a Pavilion with BBQ stations, and an expansion of the existing Aquatic center. Grading for the RV project, pictured here, has just begun, with approximately 6 weeks of grading expected for the RV pads and filling the lake for the resort-style pool. 20 Casita-style dwellings will be built gradually on the RV pads. The new, resort-style pool will be located between the old island and the Tiki Bar/Aquatic center, and the Aquatic center will be expanded and transformed into a luxury lounge. In addition, a new multi-purpose building of approximately 5,000 square feet, with a complete kitchen, will be constructed at the location of the sand volleyball courts. Replacing the island will be a large palapa with BBQ and fire pits. Four lighted Pickleball courts will be added near the Palapa in front of the multi-purpose building. Additional parking will be built, along with 9 acres of lush landscaping around the palapa. We are expecting the RV park to be completed by the end of summer, with the multi-purpose building to follow. The Pool and Aquatic Center are scheduled to be completed this fall. Great news for kart fans…a temporary kart track on the lower half of Charleston Peak paddock will be set up for the April-June race weekends. In the meantime, final designs and layout are under way for an initial .80-mile pro track, to be followed by another .50-mile track in the second phase for rental karts and kids. The design of the kart track will be inspired by the X-Plex Racetrack in Las Vegas, which closed in 2006. Spring Mountain Karting will be running the full line of CRG karts, and has ordered two karts to be air shipped, a GX270 and GX390. 16 additional karts will be delivered at a later date. Spring Mountain Karting will be offering a limited number of founder memberships, plus regular memberships to Club members, and are expected to be open 5 days per week, Wednesday through Sunday. Our management team toured SpeedsportZ Racing Park in Houston, Texas last week, and the owner, Alan Rudolph, graciously offered his time and expertise to the Spring Mountain group. Grading and paving is expected to be completed this summer, with the operation of the kart track anticipated for the Fall of 2023.
Spring Mountain Estates, our luxury residential development at the facility with 80 home and mixed-use lots, has several projects in the planning stages, according to Russ Meads of Double M Construction. Pictured here is a rendering of the beautiful new home planned for Lot 32, which is currently in Engineering and will be ready to break ground in June.
Other projects at the facility include a renovation of the Fitness Center behind the Clubhouse, with the addition of the latest in high-tech weight-room equipment. This project is expected to be completed in the next few months.
New Scholarship Fund to Benefit Music Teachers
First Annual Benefit Recital to be held April 16
Co-Founders Dr. Michelle Latour and Katy Morris, wife of Spring Mountain Motor Resort & Country Club Chairman John Morris, announce the establishment of the Rehart Gesner Fund, a scholarship resource to help defray the costs of voice lessons for CCSD music educators. The first Annual Benefit Recital will be presented on April 16 at a private residence in Las Vegas, featuring an evening of song showcasing adult students of LATOUR Voice Studios. The event will also be live streamed on their website.
The Rehart Gesner Fund is named for Latour and Morris’ grandmothers, Ruth Rehart and Lorraine Gesner, both of whom had a profound impact on the co-founders’ musical upbringing. The cause is named after them and strives to "provide opportunities to nurture the artist within."
For more information, and to donate to the cause, visit the Rehart Gesner website.
