The Spring Mountain Radical Division Racing StoryThe idea for Spring Mountain’s Radical Division began through the inspiration of John Morris, Founder and Chairman of Advanced Access, a web design firm in Anaheim, California. Advanced Access had become a success, and subsequently sold in 2006. ![]() Always looking for a new challenge, John decided it was time to pursue one of his long-time passions: driving fast cars. After purchasing a Viper GTS Final Edition, John looked for local track events in which he could test the power of the Viper, and find out if racing was something that would capture his interest. John drove the Viper in several local track events and was immediately hooked, and wanted to get even more involved in SCCA racing and track events. |

At John’s second track event in Southern California, he spotted the Radical for the first time passing all the other cars on the track. John had never seen anything like it – he was instantly intrigued by the sporty good looks and incredible speed of the Radical compared to the other cars on the raceway. John walked over to the Radical pits and introduced himself, asking (or should we say begging) the driver for a test ride around the track.
After his ride, John was SOLD. Days later that John placed his order for a British Racing Green Radical SR-3 Supersport from the Radical Motorsport Factory in Peterborough, England.
With a goal of increasing the number of Radicals in southern California and the Western US, John formed a company called Radical West Racing, which later became Spring Mountain’s Radical Division. Although the Radical SR3 is well known in Europe and the UK, when John got started there were only a few of these superior racecars with whom they could compete in the western region. This has changed, as Spring Mountain’s Radical Division, the largest Radical dealer in the world, continues to sell more SR3’s for racing competitors and track enthusiasts throughout the entire western region.
