April is packed with activity, beginning with our Club Race weekend March 31-April 1 on the Andretti C 4-mile track. The Porsche Club of America will be here April 18-19 on the Mansell C, and our special “non-racers weekend” is April 30-31. To make a reservation for any of these events, please contact the beautiful and efficient Elizabeth McGee, Club Coordinator.
Lake Spring Mountain is now open to members Wednesday through Sunday, 10 am – 6 pm. Relax in the refreshing waters, enjoy exciting water sports with Jetpack America, rent water toys or cabanas, or just soak up the sun on our pristine white sand beaches. The Lake at Spring Mountain Motor Resort & Country Club gives you the opportunity to relax at a beach-inspired oasis.
The skyline at the facility will be changing once again with grading now underway in preparation for new homes to be built at Spring Mountain Estates, our residential development on site. With new home sites available for purchase, now you have more reasons to visit our little oasis in the desert.

Facility Development Update
Construction Begins on our Residential Development, and more!
The Spring Mountain development team headed by Russ Meads of Double M Construction has embarked on a vigorous schedule of compacting, rough grading and fine-grading 80 home sites at the facility. After 3 ½ years of planning, last month County commissioners approved the final subdivision map for Spring Mountain Estates, our residential development with 80 home and mixed-use parcels. The final map recorded on March 6, clearing the way for construction to begin and for members holding deposits to enter into an escrow agreement.
The Nye County Assessor’s office is currently applying parcel numbers and addresses to the home sites; after a brief waiting period for the Department of Real Estate escrows can be opened and closed within 72 hours. The Spring Mountain Estates Homeowners Association is being established and monthly fees are expected to be 75.00 which includes 24-hour security, landscaping, road maintenance and more. US Bank is offering financing on the raw land for up to 2 years, and can also handle construction loans and permanent financing. Fidelity Title will handle the preliminary title information.
Our new development will transform the look and feel of the resort, and after years of waiting for approval we are moving fast. Members holding deposits on parcels are working with architects and planning the construction of their homes. Lots will begin closing escrow in the first part of April, and we are preparing the subdivision map for the RV parcels on top of the lake. Along with our partner, Platinum Member Jeffrey Cheng, we are working on building plans for our lakeside restaurant, Sunset Grill, an upscale, casual eatery and cocktail lounge with seating for 100 people featuring lake views and an upstairs patio with panoramic vistas of the motor resort.
Meetings are being held with investment groups for Spring Mountain Commercial, our 22-acre parcel along Highway 160 in front of the facility. We are looking forward to developing this property with a hotel, restaurants, theaters and more.
Plans for the water and sewer plant are materializing and deposits are in for the large equipment with expectations to complete the project by late summer or early fall. In addition we are meeting with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to acquire more acreage adjacent to the facility for additional track and supporting structures.

Race Weekend March 31-April 1
Join us for Gentlemen’s Racing and Fun Competition
Don’t miss our next race weekend March 31-April 1 on the Mansell (C) 3.4-mile course. The Mansell is packed with twists, turns and a long, fast straight, providing adrenaline rushes and excitement for racers and spectators. Join your friends and competitors for a lively race contest this weekend!
The event begins Friday at 8:00 am with 40 minute run sessions for Sports Cars (Lotus and Miata), Light Sport Racer (Radical and Wolf) and qualifying sessions for all categories. Lunch will be served in the Clubhouse and races will be held for Miata, LSR and Lotus, followed by podium presentations. The bar is open at 4 pm and dinner in the Clubhouse will be served at 5:30 pm.
Generation 3 SR8 Demos! Please note our friends from Radical Sports Cars in England will be on hand Saturday to demonstrate the Radical SR8 on the track. Demonstrations will be held beginning at 2:50 pm on the open track.
Friday Night Dinner. Executive Chef Susan DeLisle is planning another delectable menu for race weekend, featuring a Mexican feast for lunch on Friday and Salmon and Lamb Chops for dinner! Be sure to join us for all the fun after track activities on Friday.
Saturday’s events also begin at 8:00 am with 50-minute qualifying sessions for Miata, LSR and Lotus with races and podium presentations following. Lunch will be served in the Clubhouse and Open Track begins at 1:30 pm. The bar opens at 2:30 pm.
