With the sun shining year-round on our oasis in the desert, we are forecasting a bright future ahead for our members with new amenities to experience. Talk about first impressions! Nobody will miss us now…a new electronic billboard soaring 30 feet into the desert skies was recently erected at the entrance to the facility on Highway 160. The landmark, designed by High Impact Signs, measures 16×16 feet with a 12’x8′ electronic display, featuring the Spring Mountain logo rising above the platform at the summit. This illuminated landmark is guaranteed to light up the area day and night.
A big welcome to our newest members, Albert Youngwerth and Nathan Schweigart. And a shout-out to our youngest new member, Brixton Rambo, Brandon and Chelse’s newborn son, who enjoyed some rookie seat time at last month’s race weekend.
Celebrate with us at the upcoming Sports Car Invitational, May 4-6, with exciting events planned and three memorable days of driving. Bring your friends who have been wanting to drive on the Spring Mountain track and enjoy the festivities. Each registered participant will have the opportunity to win prizes, savor gourmet meals courtesy of our Chef Susan DeLisle, and each will receive a commemorative windbreaker. We are still growing strong, with plans being formulated for the acquisition and development of 620 acres adjacent to the facility. The BLM land makes it possible for us to build new track, more paddock areas, and even an airstrip capable of landing our members’ jets. We currently have the longest track in North America, but our goal is to build the longest road course in the world. The proposed layout at right is a schematic of a 16.07-mile track with countless numbers of potential driving configurations. (Please note this layout is subject to change.)
Our $13.4 Million Water and Sewer Treatment project is continuing on schedule and is nearly complete. The cul-de-sac lots have had their final grade, and paving of the area will continue during the next two weeks, with a final cap expected at the end of the month. Silverton Casino Resort’s plans are moving along for its mixed-use development project on a 7-acre portion of the commercial land at the entrance. The project is expected to break ground in the summer of 2018.

Sports Car Invitational – May 4-6
An exclusive event for Members and Non Members
Members are buzzing about the Sports Car Invitational at Spring Mountain! The Invitational, held on the Mansell “C” 3.4-mile course, is open to members and non-members racing sports cars only. Please invite your friends to join us May 4th, 5th and 6th for this exclusive event at the Club. For 3 days, drivers will experience over 7 hours of open lapping sessions, competitive time trials and bracket road racing! No wheel-to-wheel racing will be permitted. The registration fee for members is only $300, a great value! Your registration includes not only all meals for yourself, but for one non-driving guest, such as a spouse or a crew member.
We are working hard to make this our best event ever, with each driver receiving a “swag bag” full of goodies and a commemorative lightweight windbreaker. Lots of fun driving activities are planned, and on Saturday night, a Member’s Concorso will be held, with exotic cars on display under the lights in the staging area. Susan DeLisle will be preparing breakfast and lunch each day of the event for registered participants and their guests, along with a Saturday night feast.
Please note that open wheel and sport racer/prototype cars will not be authorized. All non-members must be invited by Club members or be personally invited by Spring Mountain Motor Resort and Country Club.

Club Race Weekend April 20-21
Join fellow members for fun and competitive “Gentlemen’s racing”
It’s going to be an exciting Club Race weekend, April 20-21, on the Mansell (C) 3.4-mile course, with mostly sunny skies, highs in the 70’s and lows in the 40’s expected for the competition. Elizabeth McGee, Members Coordinator, asks that you RSVP if you are planning to attend as condos are filling up quickly. Whether or not you are racing, please let Elizabeth know if you are coming so we have an accurate head count for our meals. Radical or Wolf drivers: if you need track support for the weekend, Elizabeth will relay your needs directly to Spring Mountain Racing.
Beginning Friday at 8:00 am, open sessions will be held for Miata & Lotus and LSR categories, followed by qualifying sessions for both groups. The track closes between 12-1 pm. Mandatory Driver’s only meetings for all categories begin at noon in the Administrative Building, with the Miata & Lotus Race at 1 pm. After a brief track maintenance session the Light Sport Racer race will be held at 1:45 pm, followed by a Podium Presentation for all classes. From 2:30 – 4:00 pm open Sessions will be held and the bar is open at 4 pm, followed by dinner in the clubhouse. Lunch will be served between 11:00 – 1:00 pm.
Friday Night Dinner at the Clubhouse! Susan DeLisle, Executive Chef, is cooking up another delectable spread for members and guests on Friday night, April 20, so be sure to join us for good food, good fun, and race stories.
Saturday’s 25-minute Open Sessions begin at 8:00 am for all categories with qualifying sessions following. The track will be closed between 11-12, and Mandatory Driver’s only meetings begin at 11:00 am for all categories in the Administrative Building. The Miata & Lotus race begins at noon followed by the Light Sport Racer race at 12:45 pm. A Podium Presentation for all classes begins at 1:30 pm, with an open session between 1:30 – 4:00 pm. The bar opens at 2:30 pm and lunch will be served in the Clubhouse from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm.
Sunday features open sessions for LSR and Sports Cars throughout the day, with the track closed for lunch from 12:00 – 1:00 pm.
