New Beginnings at Club Spring Mountain

Looking Back on a Historic Year.

Happy New Year from your friends at Club Spring Mountain…..here’s to an exciting 2015 with more Spring Mountain Motorsports Jumbotron fun, expansion and excitement for our valued members! Reflecting on an epic year, monumental developments were made to the facility along with milestone celebrations and added amenities to ensure your Club experience is more memorable than ever. 2014 highlights are listed below:

February, 2014 – Construction begins at Spring Mountain Estates. The first private residential homes are under construction, including the residence of CEO John Morris and Platinum Club members Jeffrey Cheng and Dave & Daryl Struss.

May, 2014 – 24-hour security controlled Main entrance to the facility is up and running. A few months later a high-resolution 5 x 15 Jumbotron screen with graphics and video will display events for drivers on Highway 160.

May 2014 – The Nye County Board of Commissioners formally approved all the building and development outlined in our Master Development plan.

Conference Room June 2014 – 5000 square foot Manufacturer’s Building is open for business. The building features an open area with a 20′ high ceiling, finished floor and eight bay doors ranging from 10-14′ high. Designed for R&D manufacturing, new vehicle launches, conference area and more.

August 2014 – 2,500 square-foot Welcome Center for visitor sign-in, track viewing, apparel sales and information headquarters is now open.

September, 2014 – Construction is complete on Lake Spring Jetpack at Lake Spring Mountain Mountain…a freshwater sparkling lake, complete with white sand. The lake features paddle-boarding and water-propelled Jetpack flights.

September, 2014 – Spring Mountain’s 10th Anniversary Festivities. A fun-filled weekend of activities was enjoyed by Club Spring Mountain members with two tracks in operation, sports car and radical racing, jet pack demonstration flights, paddle boarding, celebratory dinners, and a beach party with music and dancing. CEO Morris moves in to his newly-completed home at Spring Mountain Estates.

October, 2014 – The Grand Opening of the new Jetpack America flight center was held at Lake Spring Mountain October 16, 2014 with flight demonstrations and festivities.

Custom Residence at Spring Mountain Motor Resort December, 2015 – Construction begins on the first model home for Spring Mountain Estates – an exclusive residential community for members of Club Spring Mountain.

Club Race Weekend – January 24-25

Join us for the FIRST race weekend of 2015.

Don’t miss the next action-packed Club race weekend in just a few days! Attention racers, now is your Club Spring Mountain Race chance to get a head start on the points totals for this year’s championship. The forecast is for plenty of sunshine with highs in the 60’s … so why not come out, enjoy the great weather and begin the new year with a visit to the Club. Your race weekend begins on Saturday with a Drivers Meeting at 8:00 am, followed by 25 minutes of Orientation laps at 50 mph speeds (flashers required.) 25-minute sessions (Radicals, Sports Cars and non-racers) for practice, fun and qualifying will run throughout the day. Once again this month we will feature TWO separate Radical races…a rookie race and an SR3/Unlimited Contest, along with a Miata race both days!

This month we run the 3.5-mile course on both Saturday and Sunday. Your Thursday practice will be held on the West 1.5-mile course and your Friday session will be held on the full track so you can prepare for the Club races.

Party at Spring Mountain Clubhouse Saturday Night Banquet! Join us for an evening of cocktails, dinner and camaraderie at the Clubhouse on Saturday night, with a delicious menu by Chef Susan. Throughout the race weekend, buffet breakfasts are included in your race fees. Lunches are 15.00 with pre-registration or $20.00 at the event, and Dinner is $35.00 with pre-registration or $40.00 at the event.

Congratulations to all of our 2014 Miata and Radical Race Champions! Kenny Northrup was the overall winner in the 2014 Miata Series. “Indy Al” Miata and Radical Race Winners Miller was the overall winner in the Radical Rookie Class for 2014. The winners of the Radical SR3 and Unlimited Class categories, Ron Fletcher and Dave Struss, were awarded an all-costs paid drive at Spa Francorchamps in Belgium by our friends at Radical Sports Cars in England. Dave “paid it forward” and handed his prize over to Keith Gostlin; and Phil Abbott from the Radical factory announced that both Dave and Keith, along with Ron Fletcher, were all going to race at Spa this year. Looking forward to hearing all about our winners’ European racing experience!

Radical’s First Training Academy

Spring Mountain’s Mechanics are now Certified Radical Engineers.

Earlier this month Radical West mechanics Bill Rowe, Peter Carroll, Josh Tidd and Sean McGray Radical Training Academy traveled to Florida to participate in the first ever dealer training program performed by Radical North America.

Five experienced engine and chassis technicians from Radical’s Peterborough headquarters put together a comprehensive program of training and certification, with all of our mechanics passing with flying colors on services including setup, gearbox inspection and rebuilding, engine data interrogation and track side best practice. Our mechanics got an up-close and personal view of the 2015 SR3 RSX, while also learning more about the new RXC Spyder.

The factory training program ensures your Radical will be serviced by some of the best trained factory representatives in the United States.

Own a Home at Spring Mountain Estates

Choice Home Sites now available at the facility.

Now is the time to choose a home site and become a full-time or part-time resident at Spring Sunset Over Lake Spring Mountain Mountain! John Morris is our first permanent resident and Charter Members Jeffrey Cheng and David & Daryl Struss‘ homes are nearly completed. Our first model home is under construction; several choices of floor plans will be available with custom building options. Home sites of 1/3 acre, with a building pad of 110’x100’ (depending on the location) are now available for pre-order, and you will have first choice of the location of your parcel with your Platinum upgrade. We have received Tentative Subdivision Map approval by Nye County, Nevada, and development continues at full speed on parcel improvements.

Any membership that is currently in good standing at Club Spring Mountain can be upgraded to Platinum status. In addition to the benefits included in your regular membership, an upgrade to a Platinum membership offers you first choice of the location of your parcel, exclusive private access to the beach and cabanas, more guests allowed per month on your membership, gate passes, and much more. 100% of the $25,000 initiation fee will be applied to the purchase of your parcel.
