There’s no better place to celebrate the beginning of the holiday season than Club Spring Mountain. Featuring the longest road course in North America, our oasis in the desert offers perfect weather year-round; especially in the fall months. Make the Club your home away from home this season. Elizabeth McGee, Club Coordinator, has loads of events on the schedule to participate in this month, so check your calendar or read her informative emails with up-to-the-minute information. Racers competing for year-end trophies and prizes: you only have a few more chances to add to your points totals, so make your plans NOW to participate in the Sports Car and Light Sport Racer competitions next weekend on November 10-11.
The Radical and Wolf Invitational is set for December 7-10 on our regular monthly Race weekend. Please RSVP online for this big event as soon as possible. It is important that we know exactly which dates you will be attending and in which races you will participate. Remember, this is open to both Members and Non-Members who drive Wolf and Radical cars. Highlights of the Invitational include an Enduro race and over 10 hours of track time over 4 days! Next on the agenda is a Sports Car Invitational to be hosted here on a date in the very near future!
If you haven’t been here this season, you’re in for a treat. Drive our ultra-smooth and lightning fast 6.1-mile road course for an unforgettable experience. Development is continuing on the water and sewer treatment plant for the residential and commercial sites at a lightning-fast pace, and you can build your own home in the exclusive Spring Mountain Estates. Home sites are going fast and plans are underway for luxury properties to line the track on the east course.
Commercial Development Update: Silverton Casino Hotel is planning a new mixed use development project located on the commercial parcel at the entrance to the facility. The first phase of the project will include a major brand 110 all room all-suite hotel connected to a new casino to be designed and operated by Silverton. The casino will include over 200 slots, 5 table games, a sports book and café. In addition there will be restaurant and retail opportunities on individual parcels fronting Highway 160. Future phases planned at the project include a large retail, entertainment, restaurant and movie theatre district. The project is expected to break ground in the Fall of 2018.

BLM Land Acquisition News
Joel Oscarson, Director of Strategic Development, reports we are steadily moving forward with the purchase of the land adjacent to the track from the Bureau of Land Management. Joel notes, “The land is nearly 630 acres and located directly to the north and east of the facility. The small section of land connecting the northern and eastern parcels is of great strategic value due to the connectivity of the two vital areas of the property. That section must be configured to mitigate an issue with the West Wide Energy Corridor (WWEC); therefore the parcel was designed to support the land release to submit to the BLM. The process of purchasing the land has begun and we have been given approximately 9 -12 months to close on the property. Delegates from both sides of party lines are involved with us to acquire the property to continue growth here at Spring Mountain.”
Club Race Weekend – November 10-11
Join us for Fun Fall Racing….and a Wedding Celebration!
The Clark 3.22-mile course, which includes the North, South and East tracks, will be the location for the November race weekend with sunny skies, highs in the 70’s and lows in the 50’s expected for the big competition. We’re looking for a fabulous turnout from members and guests with a full grid of contenders vying for points and year-end trophies. If you haven’t visited for a while, we invite you to come out and watch or participate in the “gentleman-style” racing.
The weekend begins Friday at 8:00 am with 25 minute run sessions for Sports Car (including Lotus and Miata) and LSR (including Wolf and Radical) followed by track maintenance and qualifying sessions for both LSR and Sports Car categories. Mandatory Drivers meetings will precede the races for Sports Car and LSR races, followed by Podium presentations for all classes. Lunch will be served in the Clubhouse between 11:30 – 1:00 pm, and the bar will open at 3 pm. Enjoy Dinner in the Clubhouse at 6:00 pm with a sumptuous feast prepared by Susan DeLisle, Executive Chef, and her team. View the menu for the weekend’s festivities.
Saturday begins again at 8:00 am with 25-minute open sessions for LSR and Sports Car categories (EXR is included in the Sports Car category on Saturday,) qualifying sessions, drivers meetings and races for all categories. Open track will be featured in the afternoon. Lunch will be served in the Clubhouse between 11:30 – 1:00 pm.
On Saturday evening you are invited to celebrate with newlyweds Brandon and Chelse Rambo after their wedding ceremony. Brandon and Chelse are exchanging vows on the property in the afternoon and have invited all members for cocktails and dancing Saturday night at 8:00 pm in the “M” building. Rentals of our luxury-style loft condominiums can be arranged through Elizabeth McGee, Members Coordinator. Our condominiums feature all the comforts of a high-end hotel with the perfect trackside location, so invite your guests to stay with us on race weekend and enjoy all the comforts of home.
Race fees are $200 per day for members participating in the LSR Race plus a $250 track support fee per day. The Miata race fee is $75 per day for members. Remember that in order to provide sufficient race support staff on hand for the weekend we need your RSVP as soon as possible. Please contact Elizabeth with the details of your visit. Elizabeth will ensure you have accommodations for yourself and your guests, along with anything else you may require during your stay.
