The holidays are here and we’ve got the perfect place to celebrate at Spring Mountain Motor Resort & Country Club. The weather is ideal and the festive Season at the Club is now in full swing. New and returning racers can participate in both the Bracket-style and Radical competitions at the Club Race weekend on November 10-11, 2012. Begin your holiday season with a huge adrenaline rush and an extended weekend, as again this month our valued members will enjoy exclusive use of the full track Thursday and Friday before the big race weekend. There’s lots of fun in store for you and fellow racers during the final two months of the year, so consult our Calendar for all the upcoming events.

November Club Race Weekend

Join us for some High Adrenaline Fun

Get ready for another phenomenal weekend race for members of Club Spring Mountain. The next Club Spring Mountain Race Weekend of the season is November 10-11, 2012 and it’s going to be a fun and festive holiday event! We are expecting the largest field of Radicals and Sports Cars ever at this race, with drivers competing for big year-end trophies and special prizes. Remember, there are only TWO Club races left to accumulate points for the year-end banquet and trophy presentation to be held on December 8, 2012. The Miata and the Bracket-style race will be held both Saturday and Sunday, which includes ALL makes of Sports Cars. Slower cars and drivers will start the race with a time advantage over faster and more experienced drivers, so everyone has an equal chance to win the contest. Please note the full track will be dedicated exclusively to our members on Thursday and Friday, November 8-9, so you can prepare for the race.

Please mark your calendars to attend this event, which will include back-to-back run sessions all day, a Radical and Bracket-style race on both Saturday and Sunday, and a special Clubhouse dinner on Saturday night, November 10, 2012. A complimentary continental breakfast will be served in the Clubhouse each day, and the price for lunches is $15.00 per person with pre-registration or $20.00 at the event, and dinner is $35.00 per person, not including alcoholic beverages at the bar.

We hope to have a GREAT turnout at the Clubhouse Dinner on Saturday night, so please make your plans to join us at this fun event. Dinner will be prepared in our own kitchen on the premises under the direction of Susan De.Lisle, our new Director of Food & Beverage. We have been receiving rave reviews from our members on Susan’s selection of delicious meals, so you won’t want to miss out on the fun! View the race weekend menu. Club members are cordially invited to participate in the Radical, Miata and Bracket-style races. The cost for the race weekend for members and guests is $450.00 per day, which includes race fees and full track support. Invite your friends and family to come out and be your cheerleaders in one of our many race-viewing venues at the facility. With consecutive 25-minute sessions in Radical, Miata and Non-Racer groups, you’ll have the time of your life as you compete with your fellow members at this unforgettable weekend event.

The October Radical Race was a huge success, with a record number of new Radicals sold, thanks to the support of three factory-trained Radical professionals who joined us from Radical Sports Cars in England, including two Radical Factory Technicians and one Engine Builder. We were honored to have Phil Abbot, Owner of Radical Sportscars United Kingdom; Nick Dove – Sales Director; and Paul Dujon, Sales Manager with us last month.

Once again we will have an eventful weekend with great food, courtesy of our new Director of Food & Beverage, Susan DeLisle, and fun with members and guests. A complimentary continental breakfast will be served in the Clubhouse each day, and the price for lunches is $15.00 per person with pre-registration or $25.00 at the event, and dinner is $35.00 per person with pre-registration or $45.00 at the event, not including alcoholic beverages at the bar.

Special Award from England….Radical UK, manufacturers of the Radical Extreme Sports Car, has offered a spectacular prize for two lucky Spring Mountain Powertec series drivers. Radical UK is offering an all-costs paid drive at Spa Francorchamps in Belgium in 2013 to the top two drivers in the Club Spring Mountain Powertec Race Series for 2012. And, as a bonus, they are also providing a day of testing with a world-class European professional driver. Two prizes will be awarded….to the winners of the SR3 and Unlimited Class categories. Known as “the most beautiful circuit in the world,” Spa Francorchamps’ famous race course is over 4.3-miles long. Prizes are offered only to those who have the most points in the Club Spring Mountain Powertec series, so don’t miss the last Club Race so you can be eligible for the prize! (Prize value – $10,000)
