Club Spring Mountain News – Oct 2016
Your Driver’s Paradise Awaits
Experience the Clark Course this month!
Need an adrenaline boost? Club Spring Mountain’s lightning fast race configurations are guaranteed to increase your heart rate. At the October Club race you will drive on the 3.22-mile Clark course, the first time we have ever offered this exclusive pattern at a Club weekend. Don’t miss your chance to try the driving configuration preferred by the illustrious Vintage Auto Racing Association for speed, agility and exhilaration.
Spring Mountain is the longest track in North America with over 6-miles of road course for your driving pleasure. Portions of the Clark configuration are 40′ wide with an 81′ elevation change, high-speed spiral with a high bank, a blind ascent and extreme G-force turns. Bring your A-game to the track and beat your own record October 14-16.
Spring Mountain and other local businesses are featured in Town of Pahrump’s recent advertising campaign. Pahrump, billed as the “True Nevada,” in the heart of the desert, is the perfect location to experience the best of southern Nevada. Spring Mountain Instructors Jennie, Rico and Tommy, along with Jetpack America staff at Lake Spring Mountain were recently displaying their skills and charisma in a fun promotional video for the area. View the footage here.

John Morris selected as Grand Marshal
Pahrump Fall Festival 2016 Parade

Van Winkle says the decision was obvious for the Grand Marshal selection. “I elected John as Grand Marshal because of all the contributions he’s made to the community on a continuous basis and the future plans that he has.”
John rode atop a 2016 Z51 Corvette Stingray with upgrades from the Chevrolet Performance line, including the T1 suspension, secondary radiator kit, Z06 aero/ground effects and Z06 Brembo brake package. Add the Michelin Pilot Sport GT Competition slick tires and this car is more than 4 seconds per lap faster than the standard Stingray. The parade car was driven by John’s companion and personal assistant, Katy Murphy.
