Introducing…..Charleston Peak
Spring Mountain’s Premier Racing Circuit Named for Highest Peak in Pahrump Valley
To Our Valued Members,
Thank you for your participation in our Track Name Survey, and for submitting some exceptional entries. We are thrilled to announce that the official name for our 3.24-mile world-class road course is Charleston Peak.
Charleston Peak was one of the original internal name suggestions with a story befitting our new race circuit. Many phenomenal ideas for names were submitted by our members and staff, and some of these will be used to name corner configurations within the new track. Currently the expansion is in the early paving stages, and completion is expected this winter. Soon you will experience Spring Mountain Motor Resort & Country Club’s premier racing circuit! We appreciate your enthusiasm and your support for our latest project.
The Rationale Behind the Name
Designating a name for a world-class race track is not without challenges, and our goal was that the result be worthy of the extraordinary nature of this circuit. Charleston Peak is the highest pinnacle in the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area and a defining feature in the Pahrump Valley. Our new name not only pays tribute to the place we call home and our ever-evolving growth, it honors the majestic mountain summit that serves as a landmark for this beautiful desert oasis. The Spring Mountain logo has always featured the three mountain peaks that serve as a stunning backdrop to our facility, and the name Charleston Peak will further symbolize our growth and success as we continuously “rise above.”
We are grateful to Simon Payne of Badger Race Tech, who provided the superb design for our new track, and to world-class race track designer and safety coordinator Martyn Thake, who is seeking certification for FIA Level 3 status.
