Charleston Peak: The Ultimate Counter-Clockwise Challenge

Get Ready for an Unforgettable Ride as we Tackle the Charleston Peak Course in Reverse

Exciting news for Club Spring Mountain members! Late this spring, we’re introducing a bold new way to experience our iconic Charleston Peak — the crown jewel of our track. For the first time, members will have the opportunity to tackle Charleston Peak’s exhilarating configurations in reverse — running counterclockwise.

The transition to counterclockwise racing on Charleston Peak requires significant track modifications. We’re performing extensive grading, installing new lighting and flag stands, and implementing enhanced safety barriers. Thorough testing will ensure optimal performance. The Turn 10 complex, including Nighthawk, now features increased visibility and improved runoff, while Turn 16 has also been modified. These changes are critical for maintaining a safe and consistent racing environment in both directions.

We’re thrilled to share the next steps of Charleston Peak with you, our driving community. Stay tuned for more updates as we bring this exciting evolution to life.

Spring Mountain Development: Progress Report

An Update from Chairman John Morris

Exciting progress is underway at Spring Mountain:

  • Lakeside Villas: The Zook Homes are nearing completion and will be ready for occupancy by mid-April.
  • The Lake: Set to be fully filled just in time for Race Weekend. Take a stroll around the lake and see how the area is developing.
  • New Food Hall & Event Building: Plans are being finalized for a 7,300 sq. ft. building, adjacent to the Tiki Bar at the east side of the Lakeside Retreat. This building will house a full production kitchen to support our large events and buffet style service in a resort setting. Upon completion, we will take our buffet meal service out of the clubhouse, allowing us to modernize & remodel the existing clubhouse to better serve you, our members.
  • Kart Track Expansion: Progress on our permanent facilities is underway. Designs have been completed for a 7500 sq. ft. building with a Classroom, Control Tower, kart storage & service, alongside a garage building, complete with a dedicated members lounge. We’re now moving forward with the permitting process for the new administrative building and our first garages.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to grow and enhance the Spring Mountain experience.
