Get ready for an exciting finish! June is our Spring Mountain 2024-2025 Race Series finale, and with tight points battles in multiple classes, these last two race weekends are crucial. Members, let’s show up and give it your all!
Todd Crutcher, Director of Marketing, reports,”The Radical Cup Challenge is heating up in the Gold class, where a fierce three-way showdown between Mark Rohrwasser, Brandon Rambo, and Doug Ramirez has turned the championship into a wide-open fight to the finish. With every race, the stakes climb higher — and it’s anyone’s title to claim.”
“The Sports Car Race Series delivers edge-of-your-seat action, especially in the GT4 Class, where Tim MacMillian, Teddy Landau, Paul Chamberlain, and Brian Schmidt are locked in a nail-biting showdown for the top spot. Meanwhile, the GTL Class is just as fierce, with a high-stakes scrap for the final podium position brewing between Karen Wonnenberg, Gabriel Giannattasio, and Randy Wonnenberg. Lakeside Villas Development: Key Milestones Approaching
Paving, Landscaping, Debut of “The Cove,” and Casita Rentals
| |
We’re pleased to share that the paving and landscaping around the Zook Homes area is on track for completion by mid-May. Once finished, our attention will shift to the lakeside spaces leading to the former aquatic building. By mid-June, this entire section is expected to be complete, including the launch of our newly renovated Guest Services building.
This revitalized area will feature over 20,000 square feet of real grass, complementing the more than 200 trees and bushes already added. The beloved Tiki Bar will also get a fresh new look and name—“The Cove”—offering quick bites, beverages, and a relaxing new hangout.
We’re also excited to announce that Casita rentals for members will begin in mid-May, with pricing details to come soon.
We can’t wait to welcome you to the new Lakeside experience and host unforgettable events in this beautifully refreshed setting.

Get Ready to Run Charleston Peak in Reverse
New configurations, fresh challenges—coming this May and June
| | |
We’re excited to announce that Charleston Peak in reverse is tentatively going on the schedule for late May. Even more thrilling—during June’s race weekend, we’ll wrap up the competition on Friday and flip the script: Saturday will feature Charleston Peak Full in reverse! (Subject to change.)
In the future, you’ll see “CCW” (Counter Clockwise) on the calendar next to the track name when we’re running in reverse. For example:
- CP Full = Clockwise
- CP Full CCW = Counter Clockwise
We encourage all members to get familiar with CP Full CCW—it’s already loaded and ready to run on the simulators in the Driver’s Lounge.
Keep your eyes on the schedule and get ready to experience Charleston Peak from a whole new perspective!

ProKart Challenge Roars into Spring Mountain
Inaugural Visit to New Pahrump Facility Draws Over 130 Entries for Round Three
| | |
The second event of the 2025 ProKart Challenge season brought fierce competition to the brand-new Spring Mountain Karting facility, as over 130 drivers vied for crucial championship points. As reported in eKartingnews:
“The 2025 ProKart Challenge hosted the second event of their season, making its inaugural visit to the Spring Mountain Karting facility April 12-13. The new karting track in Pahrump, Nevada – roughly one hour from downtown Las Vegas – welcomed over 130 entries to contest the third round of the championship chase. At just over 7/10-mile long, the ‘North Track’ is a replica of the former XPlex course outside Las Vegas, site of the first five SKUSA SuperNationals.
“’Everything about this new facility is five-star,’” commented ProKart Challenge series owner Tom Kutscher. “’It is a world-class track and something the West Coast karting community has been lacking for a long time. I look forward to its contribution to growing the sport.’”
