Future Development at the Facility
Build your own Trackside Home…Choice Parcels still available
Spring Mountain Estates, our luxury residential development at the facility, made unprecedented progress in 2017. Nye County Commissioners approved the final residential subdivision map last year and the development team launched a vigorous schedule of preparing the infrastructure for home sites. Construction began in May on a $13.4 Million Water and Sewer Treatment plant to serve the community and surrounding areas. Negotiations with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) are underway for the acquisition of over 600 acres adjacent to the facility to expand to the North and East. The future development will include over 4 miles of new road course, an independent go-kart track, more classrooms and paddock space, and a private air field.
Silverton Casino Resort plans a new mixed-use development project located on a portion of the 22-acres of commercial land at the entrance to the facility. The first phase includes a major brand 110 room all-suite hotel and casino with over 200 slots, 5 game tables, a sports book and café. Restaurant and retail opportunities will be available on individual parcels fronting Highway 160. The project is expected to break ground in the Summer of 2018.
Club Spring Mountain is a private motorsports country club set in a spectacular mountain backdrop with a clubhouse, condominiums, private garages, racquetball court and more. 2019 Corvette ZR-1 at Charity Auction
The First Production ZR1 Heads the Auction Block at Barrett Jackson
The first production 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is one of the headliners at Barrett-Jackson’s 47th Annual Scottsdale Auction this month. Scheduled to sell to the highest bidder on January 20 in Arizona, the ZR1 is the fastest and most powerful Corvette ever built, featuring a 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 engine with 755 hp and 715 lb-ft of torque, and a V-8 seven-speed manual transmission. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Steven Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Started by the Siller family to honor one of their family members, an FDNY firefighter who lost his life on 9/11, the foundation assists first responders and catastrophically injured service members. Powertec Honored as Radical’s First Global Engine Facility
Exceeding Qualifying Criteria for Radical’s Service Training Program
Powertec America, Spring Mountain’s own engine builder, was honored to be the first global authorized engine service center for Radical Sportscars Limited during December’s SM Racing Invitational.
Powertec America exceeded the qualifying criteria for Radical’s Authorized Engine Service Training Program certification. The accreditation encompasses engine building, engine dialing and engine tuning. Powertec America specializes in refreshing and rebuilding Radical engines to meet all original manufacturer’s specifications, so customers can race with confidence.
“It’s an extreme honor to be recognized as the first engine service center outside of Radical,” said Sean McGray, Director of Operations, Spring Mountain Racing. “We will continue to provide the best customer service and support for our members and customers across the country. Our clients entrust us with their engines knowing they will be built to the best standards outside of the factory.”
