Ron Fellows Inducted into the 2011 Hall of Fame
We’re so proud of our own Ron Fellows, who last month, along with Clare “Mac” MacKichan, a key designer for the first and other early Corvettes, and Ray Quinlan,
During a ceremony and banquet on September 2, 2011 Ron was inducted into the Corvette Hall of Fame, during the Museum’s 17th Anniversary Corvette Celebration festivities September 1-3, 2011 at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Mike Weeks, Vice President of Sales at Spring Mountain Motor Resort & Country Club, was also on hand to witness the event.
Ron Fellows’ impressive skill as a driver for the Corvette Racing Team has earned him the respect of Corvette fans everywhere.
The National Corvette Museum established the Corvette Hall of Fame in 1998 to confer the highest honor and recognition upon the most influential individuals in the history of the Corvette. The award recognizes those who have made significant contributions to their respective fields, each having reached the highest level of accomplishment. Inductees must also reflect the highest standards of integrity and character to positively enhance the prestige of the Corvette and the National Corvette Museum.

We are proud to announce that Chevrolet designed a special one of a kind Carbon Z06 Corvette to commemorate Ron Fellows’ achievements. The Z06 “Spring Mountain Special Edition” features many of the options available on the 2012 model, including the full body, white racing stripes and the carbon fiber hood. Other Corvette model elements were also borrowed including the Centennial Editionís black wheels with the red stripe and seats with the special “100 Years” embroidery; and the custom Grand Sport hash marks reminiscent of the 2007 Ron Fellows Z06 which also had the Canadian Maple Leaf seen on this model. The special edition was further customized for the Hall-of-Famer with a reworked carbon graphic displaying Ronís Corvette Racing Number 3 and the words “Hall of Fame,” as well as graphics from Mosport Raceway – a Canadian Track that Fellows co-owns – and the Ron Fellows Performance driving school.
