JETPACK AMERICA UNVEILED AT 8-ACRE FRESHWATER LAKE AT THE SPRING MOUNTAIN MOTORSPORTS RESORT 10-YEAR ANNIVERSARY
Pahrump, NV – On Saturday, September 27th, 2014, during the 10-year anniversary celebration of the Spring Mountain Motorsports Resort and Country Club, the official announcement was made about the grand opening of the new Jetpack America flight center, set for Thursday, October 16th.
The event showcased the facility’s new 8-acre freshwater lake and clubhouse, where Jetpack America flight center manager Chris Wilson put on several demonstrations for the crowd of roughly 150 members, guests, casino executives and local and state politicians. The lake has been in the Spring Mountain plans for roughly three years, so it was with great fanfare that Spring Mountain CEO John Morris announced its official unveiling.
During the event, Morris paid special tribute to two individuals, developer Russ Meads and construction lead Jim Wulfenstein, stating “Spring Mountain racetrack and now the lake would not have been possible without Russ and Jim”, and thank them for their ongoing support since Spring Mountain’s initial development project back in 2004.
The new lake and aquatic center will be the hub for jetpack flight training for Spring Mountain members, driving school students and visitors from Las Vegas. For those slightly less adrenaline-focused, the facility will also offer paddleboard rentals, featuring Riviera paddleboards, which is the showcase brand owned by fellow Spring Mountain owner Brad Rambo.
