Remembering Friends of the Club

RIP Prinz Oliver, Ray Wulfenstein and Don Hoffman

04 video prinzReporting the loss of members and friends of the Club is never easy. Last month we shared Prinz Oliver von Anhalt, a long-time Charter Member, passed away Christmas Day and a Celebration of his life was held at Lake Spring Mountain on January 13. During the celebration friends and family of the prince wrote personal messages, lit Chinese lanterns and launched them into the moonlit sky. View the photos of the event by Ken Melgoza, and watch the video from Oliver's Celebration in Los Angeles

05 ray wulfensteinRay Wulfenstein, father of Jim Wulfenstein, Club member, known as one of the founding fathers of the town of Pahrump, passed away in Oregon January 15. Ray was a friend and loyal supporter of Spring Mountain who was involved in the paving of the original 2.2-mile track. A successful businessman and entrepreneur, Ray moved to Pahrump in 1972 and started a small motel business.

His business interests later grew into a recreational vehicle park, car wash, Wulfy's sports bar, land development and a construction company that bears the family name.

06 don hoffmanDon Hoffman, a friend of many Club members, passed January 13 in Nashville, Tennessee. Don was a frequent visitor to the Club who owned Radicals and hosted numerous private driving programs. Don always had a huge smile on his face and lived life to the fullest, looking for fun and adventure. A devoted family man, Don will be missed by all the people whose lives he touched.

Sincere condolences from all of us at Club Spring Mountain to the families and friends of these phenomenal men.
