Prinz Oliver Leopold von Anhalt, 1971-2016

Celebrate Prinz Oliver's Life with us January 15

Prinz Oliver MemorialSadly we must report that Charter Member Prinz Oliver died Christmas Day after a motorcycle accident in Los Angeles. It's rare that anyone has the opportunity to be in the company of a real-life prince; however, Club members were fortunate to know and love Prinz Oliver. Our first glimpse of Oliver occurred 8-years ago as he made his entrance in a chauffeur-driven Rolls Royce complete with an armed bodyguard. With the looks and charisma of a celebrity, Oliver had an infectious smile, was charming, down-to-earth and passionate about life. Oliver fell in love with Spring Mountain and embraced the lifestyle with abandon, joining the Club, buying race cars, hiring coaches, renting garages and purchasing a home nearby.

Oliver lived life to the fullest and raced with all of his might, ending many contests on the podium driving his race car and later, his motorcycle. Everyone who knew Oliver has fond memories of how he touched their lives (along with some colorful stories.) Oliver approached the world with passion and when he was around life was simply more exciting. When Oliver was in the room our spirits were higher and our smiles brighter. We were devastated by Oliver's sudden passing, and extend our sympathy to the family and dear friends he left behind.

A celebration of the life of Prinz Oliver Leopold von Anhalt will be held Friday, January 13 at 3:30 pm in the mountains above the Club. Meet at the clubhouse at 3:30 to caravan to the site with fellow members. View the video tribute to Prince Oliver created by Todd Crutcher, Director of Marketing, Spring Mountain Motor Resort & Country Club.
