Spring is in the air at the Club

Longer Days, Races and Celebrations this Month.

Celebrate the beginning of Spring at Club Spring Mountain! Longer days mean more hours of 01 springmountain poolfun on the track, and the weather is warming, which is perfect for paddle-boarding and jet-packing on Lake Spring Mountain. You and your guests can enjoy all the comforts of home in the Clubhouse, work on your fitness, schedule a massage with Tina (our members and guests rave about her healing hands), relax in a bubbling spa, enjoy the outdoor fire pit, order a drink at the bar, catch up with old friends and meet new ones. With so many activities to experience along with the thrills of driving on the track, no wonder more members and guests are spending time at the Club.

This month is packed with exciting activities and events. Porsche Clubs from San Diego and Las Vegas joined us this month for run sessions, Shelby visited last weekend, and the Track Xperience group ran on the North-South course March 21-22.

Our own Club Race Weekend will be held on March 28-29, and more of our members are joining the fun in the Miata, Lotus and Radical Race Series. Read about the recent "Desert Storm" experience at the track with the Riviera Paddlesurf sales staff. The amenities we offer are perfect for team building and corporate events. Please refer to our Event Calendar to choose your dates to visit the Club this month.

Club Race Weekend - March 28-29

Sun and Fun are on the Agenda for Race Weekend.

Join us for another action-packed Club race weekend, with mild spring weather in the 02 miataforecast. Beginning on Saturday with a mandatory Drivers Meeting at 8:00 am, orientation laps at 50 mph maximum (flashers required) will start at 8:30. Directly after the orientation, 25-minute run sessions (Radicals, Sports Cars and non-racers) will be held throughout the day, with three race categories including Radical Rookie, SR3/Unlimited Radical, and Miata/Lotus on the docket. The day ends with open lapping and a tire scrub session. Once again this month we will feature TWO separate Radical races...a rookie race and an SR3/Unlimited Contest. A combined Miata/Lotus Race will also be held on Saturday and Sunday.

03 radicals racingThis month's race weekend will feature the "fast and furious" Fittipaldi "C" 3.6-mile road course on both Saturday and Sunday. Prepare for the weekend of racing on Thursday and Friday on the Fittipaldi so you can master the twists and turns of this configuration.

Rentals of our luxury-style loft condominiums can be arranged through Erik Odegard, Members Coordinator. Our condominiums feature all the comforts of a high-end hotel with the perfect trackside location, so invite your guests to stay with us on race weekend and enjoy all the amenities we have to offer. Members will have full use of the Clubhouse beginning on Thursday through the weekend. Executive Chef Susan will be hosting member lunches on Thursday and Friday practice days in the Clubhouse.

Radical Race fees are $200.00 per day for members participating in the Radical Race, and a $250.0004 miata race winners track support fee per day. Please note that in order to ensure we have sufficient race support staff on hand for the weekend, we need your RSVP as soon as possible. Please contact Erik Odegard with the details of your stay. Erik will ensure you have accommodations for yourself and your guests, along with anything else you may require while you are here.

Clubhouse Party Saturday night Banquet! You and your guests are invited to join us for an evening of cocktails, dinner and celebration at the Clubhouse on Saturday night, with a delicious menu by Executive Chef Susan. Throughout the race weekend buffet breakfasts are included in your race fees. Lunches are 15.00 with pre-registration or $20.00 at the event, and Dinner is $35.00 with pre-registration or $40.00 at the event.

Operation Desert Storm

Riviera Paddlesurf holds 1st Annual Sales Meeting at Spring Mountain.

Spring Mountain was the location for Rivera Paddlesurf's first annual sales meeting late06 riviera paddles last month, and they called it "Operation Desert Storm." Riviera, established in 2007 and headquartered in San Clemente, California, is a leading producer of high-quality stand-up paddle board products, owned by Spring Mountain partners Brad & Wendy Rambo.

Brandon Rambo, National Sales Manager, reported 07 helicopterthat the company was thrilled with the outcome of the event. "This was the perfect location for the goals we wanted to accomplish. A total of 35 company employees were in attendance, including sales representatives as well as International distributors who traveled from countries such as Italy, Ecuador, Mexico and French Polynesia."

The Corporate meeting provided an insight to the company's history, brand direction and goals for future growth. A perfect combination of meetings and fun team-building activities were enjoyed by all the participants. The entire team was completely blown away by08 helicopter jump
the activities planned for the event, including paddle-boarding on Lake Spring Mountain, blo-kart rides, target practice in the hills, an awe-inspiring drop by one of their team riders from a helicopter into the lake, and thrill rides in race cars around the 1.5-mile road course. According to Brandon, the highlight of the weekend was shooting exploding targets with Riviera's team back in the hills.
