Spring Forward to Good Times at the Club

Bringing you up to Speed with the Latest Club News

01Beautiful spring weather is blooming in our desert paradise, with warmer temperatures, longer days and more hours of sunshine for adventures on and off the track. Now is the perfect time to join us for some excitement at Club Spring Mountain!

Recreational opportunities abound in the heart of southern Nevada. When you’re not on the track, spend some time exploring off-road trails, relaxing in the Clubhouse, working out in the fitness center, indulging in a massage with Tina (she’s back!) or just share beverages and stories by the fire. At the end of the day, luxuriate in one of our beautiful and convenient trackside condominiums. There’s something for everyone here in our little oasis at the Club.

02We love seeing our members have fun with their families and friends, and we’re looking forward to your next visit. Please note our new RSVP protocol: Our exclusive MEMBER ONLY APP can be used to RSVP for your visit, check live timing and race schedules, stay updated on series points, and more. In the future, all RSVP’s from Club members must be sent through the app. If you have any questions, please contact Elizabeth McGee, Membership Director.

03Mark your calendars...we've got a lot going on at the Club this month. The Porsche Club was here on March 6-7; the Audi Club was on the track March 12-14, and our Club Race Weekend begins March 18 on the Fittipaldi “C” 3.6-mile course. For more information about all upcoming events at Spring Mountain, visit our Member Calendar.

04The new season brings a sense of hope and optimism after a long year of pandemic safety, and we thank you sincerely for your support and friendship during this unprecedented time. We’re not out of the woods yet, but the future is full of promise and we are looking forward to making unforgettable memories with you here at the Club.

Facility Update

Track Expansion Progress, plus a New Kart Track on the Radar

05Following years of negotiations with US Fish & Wildlife, the Tortoise Permit is in our possession, allowing track expansion operations to commence on a portion of the 553.27 acres of property directly adjacent to the facility. Immediate plans for the area include a 3.02-mile track extension, a new paddock area, new entrances, an interior road connecting the new property with the original facility, and a new kart track. As reported previously, Simon Payne is our lead consultant on the design of the new road course, and construction is expected to begin later this year, just in time for fall track operations. (Click to enlarge drawing.)

06Exciting news for karting enthusiasts…we are currently in the planning and design phase for our own Spring Mountain Karting facility, with construction set to begin this summer. The Karting center will be located on a 30-acre parcel on the southeast side of Spring Mountain Estates, with both private member access as well as public access from Highway 160. Plans include construction of a .9-mile (1450 meter) Member/Pro track and a separate .5-mile (800 meter) Arrive and Drive/Youth Track.

The facility will be membership based for kids and cadets along with junior and senior level karting. With a family-karting vibe, the project will also include competitive sanctioned racing for kart clubs. We are developing curriculum for a Karting Academy at the site, and will be offering arrive and drive programs in a fleet of the latest in electric engineered karting. Both Sprint and Endurance-style racing series will be on the calendar, and private storage garages can be rented by members. Detailed information about membership will soon be available, so stay tuned!

07Spring Mountain Estates, our luxury residential development at the facility with 80 home and mixed-use lots, continues to evolve with more members planning and building their own home at the track. To own your own parcel in Spring Mountain Estates, contact Mike Weeks, VP Sales, via email mike@racespringmountain.com or by phone at 949-235-7810.

Member Profile

From Porsche Club to CSM Member…Meet Shahin Mobine

09Shahin Mobine, of San Diego, California, fell in love with Spring Mountain in 2008 when he was here with the Porsche Club for a track event. After joining the Club in 2012 and racing Radicals for years, he is now driving a Wolf on member track days and events.10

Shahin (pictured with Amanda (L) and Chelse Rambo) graduated from USC with a major in Business and an emphasis on entrepreneurship and marketing. He met his wife Amanda in 2012, they married in 2019 and Mirabelle, their pandemic baby, was born in 2020. When he’s not racing, Shahin enjoys surfing and cooking.

When asked what he likes most about the Club, Shahin replied “I enjoy the people here. Every time I step foot onto the Club property, I feel a sense of calm and happiness. The staff are amazing and treat me like family and the members have become life-long friends. I call it my adult sand box…it’s my happy place”.

Shahin started his company - PureFish - just as the name implies, to offer the highest quality sustainable seafood to chefs who cared more about quality than “commodity” seafood based on cheap prices alone. For more than 12 years PureFish supplied the best quality sustainable seafood to chefs and fine dining restaurants across the US & Europe; including many Michelin starred and James Beard award winning chefs & restaurants.

After the pandemic came and shut down most of their customers, Shahin acted decisively. “The market shifted overnight and we knew it was time to launch our direct-to-consumer program. We didn’t want to be just another home delivery company, we wanted to reinvent how people experienced buying, cooking and eating seafood at home; making it easier and more approachable.”

11PureFish offers innovative oven-ready trays, perfectly portioned center cut fish (the same product they sell to their fine dining chefs), and state of the art eco-friendly packaging; making cooking seafood at home as easy as: “Thaw, Season, Cook… with no handling of fish necessary.

Shahin is offering fellow Spring Mountain members the opportunity to experience the quality and ease of PureFish home delivery with a 20% discount for all members. Use the Discount Code: SPRING88
