Facility Development Update

Tortoise Permit and Spring Mountain Estates News

03 turtlesLast month the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service opened a 30-day public comment period on the proposed Habitat Conservation Plan for our racetrack expansion.

The move comes after Fish & Wildlife listed the Draft Environmental Assessment and Proposed Habitat Conservation Plan document on the Federal Register on October 2. After the initial comment period, the 30-day rebuttal phase begins, after which the Nevada FWS will prepare our official tortoise permit.

04 flagsConstruction at Spring Mountain Estates, our luxury residential development at the facility with 80 home and mixed-use lots, is going strong with new lots being purchased, homes nearly completed on several parcels and more dwellings scheduled to be built this season. Brad and Wendy Rambo's house is complete and the family moved in last week. Lots 72, 33 and 42 are all in the final stages of construction and will be ready for move-in during the next few weeks. Lot 73 is in the framing stage and moving along nicely. Several other members are going to be starting construction soon. To own your own parcel in Spring Mountain Estates, contact Mike Weeks, VP of Sales, at 949-235-7810.

US Airforce Thunderbirds Track Event

Demonstration Flight Group Represents Airmen Defending Our Freedom

05 thinderbirdsLast month the renowned United States Air Force Thunderbirds traveled to Spring Mountain for a special one-day track event in our fleet of 8th generation Corvettes. Management and staff were incredibly honored to have been in the presence of this distinguished team of officers. Major Trevor Aldridge commented about the experience.

“I wanted to say ‘thank you’ to you and your team for an outstanding day... The facilities are pristine, the cars are incredible, but most importantly, your staff is world class… We have a good amount of experience instructing in our jets, and your instructors are truly impressive. The crawl, walk, run approach to the course was taught perfectly. The course was beyond what any of us were expecting to be able to accomplish in one day… It really was a special experience.”
