Club Spring Mountain News - Summer 2011

Enjoy Resort-Style Amenities at the Club this Summer

All the comforts of home await you at Club Spring Mountain your own private Motor Resort and Country Club. PatioDuring the heat of the summer, why not practice your driving skills early in the day (the track is hot at 7 am) and spend the rest of the afternoon cooling off in the pool, playing a game of racquetball or having a relaxing massage. While you're on the track, your guests can enjoy the luxury of a private club, work out in the fitness center, or relax in the spacious clubhouse and watch their favorite sports team on one of the flat screen TV's. If you haven't been to the Club in too long, give yourself a treat this summer and enjoy some motorsports fun.

Construction is progressing nicely this summer on the 16-Unit Condominium Complex in the lower paddock area at the facility, next to the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School operations. The 16 Unit Condosbuilding is available for rent or lease, and features 16 deluxe condominium units: half with double queens and half with king-sized beds. All units include private baths and wet bars. Five of the units will have rear balconies with great views of turns 1 and 2 and with only 60 feet between your window and the road course... a perfect race viewing point.

The garages on the first floor will be large enough to accommodate multiple cars and extra vehicles, for the multicar race teams or groups of friends who like to share set-up, and will be ready for a classroom setting. The building will also include additional restroom facilities for public access. The building is 15,000 + square feet and we are expecting an estimated move-in date of October 1, 2011, just in time for the fall season.

It's a Bird...It's a Plane... It's a JETLEV!

Club members, are you ready for an exhilarating new experience in the air?JetLev John Morris, CEO of Club Spring Mountain has taken his need for speed to the skies over Newport Beach, California this summer, as he introduces the first water-propelled jet pack on the west coast n the Jetlev R200. John and his new company, Jetlev Southwest, LLC are the exclusive distributors of the Jetlev R200 in the south western states. Soon Club Spring Mountain members will have access to a Jetlev Flight Center on our own private lake at the facility, which is expected to be ready for water activities next year.

For those who can't wait until the private lake here at the club is completed, come visit the location in Newport Beach and learn how to fly the Jetlev R200. The 3-hour course will include small John Jetlevclass sizes of 4 participants, and during the program you will receive ground instruction and flight time in the air! Most students learn to fly after only a few minutes of practice. As an introductory offer to our valued Club Spring Mountain members, you will receive a 10% discount off the regular price of $350.00 and VIP placement in class. The flight center in Newport Beach is expected to open in just a few weeks at the beginning of August. A few of our members have already tried the Jetlev and had the time of their lives.

Jetlev R200 is a recreational jetpack that almost anyone can enjoy over water. It is designed for safety, stability, ease-of-use, and precise and effortless flight controls. Learn basic flight with video-assisted training on land and as little as six minutes of on-water instructions. Last week, John was featured on INSIDE EDITION where the instructors taught Lisa Guerrero, one of the show hosts, how to fly the water propelled jet pack with just a few minutes of instruction. For more information about the Jetlev R200, or to sign up for one of our upcoming Flight Center programs, contact Katie Morris - katie@jetlevsouthwest.com, or by phone at 888-553-6471.

Club Spring Mountain Hosts Aston Martin Rapide Endurance Test Run

On June 25-26, the editors and drivers of Road & Track Magazine ran a 24 hour endurance test with an Aston Martin Rapide during our regular member weekend. They began their test at 8am Saturday and ran through the night until 8 am Sunday morning. The test ran in conjunction with the Aston Martin Rapide race car that is running the 24 hours of Nurburgring. The comparisons were made between the two cars during the 24-hour run of the street car at Spring Mountain while the race car ran at the the famous Nurburgring track in Germany.

In this video, John Morris, Aston Martin RapideCEO of Spring Mountain Motor Resort & Country Club, reports on his experience testing the Aston Martin Rapide on the 2.7-mile road course at Spring Mountain this morning, during the 24 Hour Road Test.

We would like to thank Road & Track Magazine and Aston Martin for an unforgettable experience for all Club Spring Mountain members. Everyone is looking forward to the next test day.
